The men and women who are engaged in service and support, yes are performing real jobs, and at pitful pay rates and with the prospect of receiving also some woeful medical treatment (should they require it).

But before you exclude the ideal that some aspects of the military also replicate a form of socialism, consider that there are also a lot of back-benchers in the Pentagon too, who draw far higher six-figure salaries with full benefits and pensions for their rigorous 40-hour workweeks of performing invaluable tasks such as shepherding VIP’s on tours of domestic bases, or catering to Nancy Pelosi’s travel arrangements, for example.

Juneau is rife with the gay crowd too. Most of the population works for the city or state. The rest just fix their cars and serve them food.

Lots of self-congratulations in that piece, but let’s not forget that those same Alaskans dumped their duly chosen GOP primary representative (Joe Miller) and wrote in the ultimate establishment hack Lisa Murkowski, primarily because they could count on her to keep the Federal money flowing north.

Because of that, we lost a chance to put a genuine Conservative in the Senate — one that would do battle against the special interests and Statist designs we see blossoming everywhere, and are stuck with a RINO of the same stripe and caliber of McCain.

Spare me the kissy-face. I’m still bitter.
