CATCHING A SECOND WIND

Cross country runners and other long distance runners have all relied on a "second wind" to finish their race; the longer the race the more "second winds" will be required. This physiological wind source is a timely aid in propelling an exhausted runner onward to the finish.

The phenomenon of the "second wind" has a spiritual principle, too. When the purposes of God seem too distant to continue, God provides a "second wind" to propel his people onward to finish the cause in which they are engaged. Indeed: "They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength..." (Isaiah 40:31)

Sunday Morning Coffee Bump.

We had some good rain last week. Did some lawnmowing twice last week. Tuesday and Friday.

I called a biker GF just before we went out to the yard sales...she was the one who helped me when Lynn-Dah was sick, and I picked her up to go yard-saling with us. We hit a few good ones, got some premium skin care products 3 for a DOLLAR (!), and went to Chick-Fil-A for lunch. Then we went to the Dog Park, and IMMEDIATELY Lynn-dah picked up 3 more ticks! I removed them, of course, but then took her home and vacuumed her and fine combed her for nearly an hour. I was SO upset!

No more Doggie park until winter, I guess. Grrrrrrrrrrr

Thank you God that you have become so observant on Lynn-Dah’s behalf....and that she so enjoys the attention to make sure she doesn’t get sick again.

If it is a city dog park I would notify them to at least post the fact that ticks are in residence and to BEWARE.

The Doggie park is in a very affluent area (although I am NOT affluent...LOL, but it’s nicer than the one nearer to my house). I intend to call the city hall tomorrow with my warning.

Found two dead ones today, so the new product is doing its job.
