WikiLeaks has released a trove of encrypted “insurance” data on Twitter and Facebook. The data can’t be read without an encryption key, but the movement’s supporters say that could be published later in case anything happens to leading WikiLeaks figures.
The whistleblowing organization published links for a massive 400 gigabytes worth of encrypted data it described as “insurance documents” on its Twitter and Facebook accounts. It is possible to download the files but advanced encoding prevents them from being opened.

This isn’t the first time Wikileaks has put an encrypted bomb. There was another several years ago that as far as I know still hasn’t been cracked.

FR has been broken since at least 05:00 this morning. Has anyone divulged what this recurring problem is and what the permanent solution is? I’m guessing a reboot or some database tweak fixes it temporarily, but it seems to come back ever week or two.

Sounds to me like Julian Assange is really annoyed that everyone forgot about the slimy rapist and moved on. This is a big, global “LOOK AT ME!!!” aimed at the U.S., just one day after he came out in praise of Ron and Rand Paul.

I think the definition of insurance here is different from what you might sell and the rest of us might buy.
This reminds us of the mafia and its “insurance” with people who have wanted to expose their criminal actions.
