Football Fans Get First Taste Of New Clear Bag Policy
Jets Fans Griped About New Policy
EAST BRUNSWICK, N.J. (CBSNew York) A new league-wide bag policy is in place as the New York Giants kick off their preseason Sunday evening.
Jets fans arriving at MetLife Stadium on Saturday were subjected to the new NFL policy, which was implemented as a result of the Boston Marathon bombings.
In May, the league and all NFL teams agreed on a policy that would restrict the types of bags that fans would be allowed to carry into stadiums.
The policy took effect earlier this month at the Hall of Fame inductions and game. Fans will only be allowed to carry bags, packages, and containers into stadium plaza areas, stadium gates, or queue lines if they meet the following requirements:
Bags that are clear plastic, vinyl or PVC and do not exceed 12″ x 6″ x 12″, or One-gallon clear plastic freezer bag (Ziploc bag or similar). Small clutch bags, approximately the size of a hand (4.5″ x 6.5″), with or without a handle or strap, may be carried into the stadium along with one of the clear bag options.
On Saturday, many Jets fans came prepared with their clear plastic or vinyl bags.
Just my cell phone, some cash and my tickets, football fan Stephanie Shih said.
Everything that I would normally put in my small bag that I would carry into the stadium is what I put in this bag. But its not exactly convenient to carry, obviously, another woman said.

New inventor opportunity to meet a new need.
“Jets fans arriving at MetLife Stadium on Saturday were subjected to the new NFL policy, which was implemented as a result of the Boston Marathon bombings. “
Bull.
They’re just using that as an excuse to clamp down on people bringing in their own food and beverages, which they won’t be able to do now.
Nice job NY A-holes
No seat cushions, no women’s purses, no coolers, no camera bags, etc...
Typical liberal thinking, pick the lowest level IQ , simple minded, stupidly obvious idea and go with that. Treat people like the morons that YOU are, thinking that determined terrorist types will NEVER still find a way to do what they do.
Our dimensioning freedom is the direct result of the fundamental lack of creative thinking of the morons put in charge of defending us.
This policy is the height of intellectual laziness.
Exactly. This is about selling watered-down beer at 10 bucks a pop.
NFL= No Fun League
Already done. At least for our local area. A lady was on the local news channel with a clear handbag that had the local team banner on it,
“New inventor opportunity to meet a new need.”
Exactly. Clear plastic explosives.
Just like the Romans.
Carry your ‘bread’ to the ‘circus’
Roger Goodell is a pussy whose policies will eventually destroy the NFL. Pete Rozelle is spinning in his grave.
Oh, I dunno - you can put a lot of alcohol into a 12 by 12 by 6 inch plastic bag! I’d give it 2 weeks before some entrepreneur comes out with a 1 gallon bota bag made of clear plastic.
Baby girl is due to arrive any day now. Hubby and I plan on attending the Miami Pitt game at Heinz Field the day after Thanksgiving. If I have to follow these rules because it’s a pro stadium, will they forbid me from bringing in my breast pump that I’d planned on using during half-time? Can I sue? Do more white women than black women nurse so I can throw the cracker card and scream racist?
Just use one of these, depending on your gender: http://www.amazon.com/s/?ie=UTF8&keywords=wine+rack+flask+bra&tag=mh0b-20&index=aps&hvadid=1691705341&ref=pd_sl_4d6f244xzc_b
and it ain`t Us.
Ban all moslems from NFL games,
At least it will be easier for the thugs to determine who to pickpocket.
