Scott Brown: I'm exploring a run for president
Boston Herald ^ | 8/18/13 | Hillary Chabot

Posted on 08/18/2013 2:04:28 PM PDT by GQuagmire

Former U.S. Sen. Scott Brown told the Herald he is exploring a possible 2016 presidential bid today as he hit a well-worn stomping ground for Oval Office hopefuls – the Iowa State Fair. “I want to get an indication of whether there’s even an interest, in Massachusetts and throughout the country, if there’s room for a bi-partisan problem solver,” said Brown, who has been meeting with top republicans nationally and last week hosted a Fenway event for Republican National Committee members. Brown indicated he isn't close to deciding whether he will run. “It’s 2013 I think it’s premature, but I am curious. There’s a lot of good name recognition in the Dakotas and here – that’s pretty good.” Brown rose to national prominence after his surprise win in the 2010 special election for the U.S. Senate over Attorney general Martha Coakley. He lost the seat to U.S. Sen. Elizabeth Warren in 2012, but he has recently kept the door open to many races including the 2014 Bay State gubernatorial and a U.S. Senate bid in New Hampshire

If Jeb Bush runs for President, that means Scott Brown would be perfect running mate just like young and handsome Dan Quayle was with 41 back in ‘92.

The U.S. needs another RINO to run for President like Hillary Clinton needs another Kotex saddle pad for her Aswip 2000 Broom..

Both may happen in 2016..

On the positive side, maybe he’ll siphon primary votes from Christie. The more ‘moderates’ in the race to divide the moderate vote, the better.

But more importantly, conservatives need to settle on one conservative candidate before the primaries start and insist that other pretenders stand aside. We cannot go into the 2016 primary season with 3 or 4 conservatives each polling 5-20%. By April, when the Santorums of the world drop out (and Santorum in a fine man who just stubbornly stuck it out long enough to ensure Romney’s nomination), the media and the GOP establishment will be crowning Christie as the nominee.

So Run Scott, Run! And even if you’re just at 3% in the polls, you hold onto those 3% moderates all the way to the convention.

Just another Joe to explore possibility of Presidential bid

In a press conference today, Just another Joe revealed that he would form an exploratory committee to look into a Presidential bid.

Just another Joe, a military veteran of the United States Navy, has opened a bank account and is actively seeking donations to that account.

Just another Joe has not revealed whether or not he will seek the nomination of any parties currently active in the United States of America. Political pundits believe that Just another Joe may start his own party, The Average Joe Party, in an attempt to drain votes from ALL the other current political parties.

Under federal election law, an exploratory committee allows an individual to travel and gauge the level of support for a candidacy without formally declaring themselves a candidate and adhering to all the federal rules of fundraising.
Just another Joe has revealed that he will gauge the level of support in Boracay, Philippines before trying to estimate support anywhere else.

Just another Joe’s stands on gun control, private property rights, the war in Iraq, and many other Constitutional stands have alienated him from many parties looking for a candidate that adheres only to the party platform.

In an interview with this reporter, Just another Joe said that he would do what seemed best for his country, whether that was running for the nomination of an existing party, starting his own party, or just taking the money in the account and using it for a vacation to the Philippines. (Many political pundits believe that the third option is most likely best for the stabilization of the current political parties.)

Yes. However, I feel compelled to add that Dan Quayle is a pretty good guy -- unlike the slippery Scott Brown. And Dan Quayle had important cultural comments to make; see his Murphy Brown remark, later confirmed by Candice Bergen herself.

I had no idea that he was this delusional. But we should encourage him. The more RINOs the better, to divide the RINO money.

Right now, things look better than at any time since Reagan. There is no obvious RINO front runner.

Whaaat? Couldn't win reelection as senator. Too moderate for MA; too RINO and lib for red states.

Handsome and ex military is all he has going, which is about 100% better than Chuckie S. and Harry the shyster.

Actually that is exactly what we need IMHO. The more rinos the better! It will only help us to get a conservative nominated. Last election, we had too many so called conservatives running...hence splitting the conservative vote. Let them put a bunch of rinos in...lol. It will split their base, not ours.

We will put up one conservative hopefully...maybe two. Better odds of taking the country back.

I dunno.

I seem to be (badly) outnumbered here, but I would not oppose a Scott Brown candidacy.

Just saying.

Not oppose.
