If Preibus really was smart, he would do away with the debates altogether.

They serve no purpose other than to provide ammunition for the Democrats come time for the General Election, and it only brings down the GOP Brand in the process as each candidate tried to tear down the other, instead of winning the nomination on their own merits.

This article is nothing more than GOP apple polishing by a full blown Romney Republican.

Some other examples of his work on Townhall.

Preibus is a .160 hitter with little power. I don’t think this a home run but, if you see it that way, it’s a fluke. He’s the emasculated head of an emasculated party.

If the tables were turned and Democrats saw two networks planning essentially campaign infomercials for a Republican presidential candidate, they would be holding marches and announcing boycotts. AND they would never agree in the first place to all the far lefty moderators that Preibus and their gang see nothing wrong with.

Any excuse to get fewer primary debates is a good thing. Too many debates allows too much time for the candates to throw mud at each, getting them all blooded up even before they face the Dem candidate.

I just don’t think his approach is sustainable. It doesn’t outline the root problem which is media bias. The issue is not that some news outlet ran a movie or a piece on Hillary. News outlets run pieces on politicians all the time - as they should. It’s the bias.

Now there is a problem. There is no way a media outlet is going to allow a party to dictate what they can or can not broadcast. Nor should they. They can run whatever they want and parties can decide who to work with on debates. Two-way street.

RNC should not single out news outlets or politicians. Simply say we won’t agree to Presidential debates unless there are unbiased moderators. That’s it.

Televised primary debates get your candidates in front of the public, make them seem credible (if they are) and build momentum. Pulling the plug just capitulates to the Democrat’s takeover of the major networks. I am sure the Democrats are ROTFL at the show of weakness this represents. Nice job stopping the Hillary propaganda films.

The RNC needs to commission films or perhaps short clips about the real adventures of Bill & Hill, replete with Hillary’s Saul Alinsky and Robert Truehaft connections, Hillary’s cattle futures miracles, forcing S&L’s to roll over their bad loans, Bill & Roger’s coke-fueled sex parties with underage girls, Hillary’s encounter with Juanita Broderick, Hillary and Vince in puppy love, Vince’s trip to the park, Hillary vacuuming the files and hiding Whitewater documents until the day after the statute of limitations expired, Hillary and Huma in puppy love, handled Iranian nuclear disarmament real well Hillary, architect of Middle East Peace Hillary, Benghazi cover-up Hillary. Priebus better get busy re-introducing the real Hillary and finding ways to neutralize legacy media propaganda (hint — there’s this new thing called the “internet”).

Kaslin when I first saw this in breaking news, I thought this was a nsa spy program that actually caught a terrorist or a group of terrorists and had stopped an impending attack. True! Guess I should keep up with things more. I only realized it was a thread about the republican party chairman after opening the thread.

The RNC needs to drop their support of Amnesty NOW!

Until then, they are telling the base to Shove It! and the base will not support them in their future efforts.

They cannot win without the base.

Trying to appeal to the 30 million+ Undocumented Democrats in this country by promising them Amnesty is a double-down on suicide by the RNC/GOP-E.

On one hand the RNC/GOP-E will never get more than 30% of the vote of the Illegal Aliens that are granted Amnesty as history shows us from the Reagan Amnesty.

On the other hand, they will completely and forever alienate their base.

“If he keeps it up, the Republicans might actually win the U.S. Senate in 2014 and the Presidency in 2016”

Whoa, sport ... let’s not get carried away. The Repubs have a small chance to gain the slightest of majorities in the Senate in 2014, but the Presidency in 2016? No way... The Hildebeast has that one in the
Bag unless another flashy, more leftist dem supplants her.

Priebus fakes to the right like Arlen Specter used to do when he got in trouble before the next election cycle.

YES I support this vote they took, but it is nonbinding meaning they will be brow beaten into changing their mind. Sorry I have not one ounce of trust in anyone with an R after their name. At least when a D stands up and says they are for more gun control - I BELIEVE THEM AND KNOW THEY WILL MAKE AN ATTEMMPT AT BRINGING IT ABOUT. Just look at how the GOP-e is behaving when a few conservatives want to cut off discretionary funding for the implementation of Obamacare - DID'T THE GOP RUN ON STOPPING OBAMACARE

Any GOP Rep that votes for a CR or Debt Ceiling increase that includes funding for Obamacare has been lying to us all along. I am sorry - I trust a D before an R.
