Sybrina Fulton, Trayvon Martin’s mother, made it clear on Meet the Press Sunday that she has turned her grief over the death of her son into action to stop racial profiling and “Stand-your-Ground” laws around the country.

“We’re going to all 21 states with stand your ground laws to make some change,” Fulton said to David Gregory, and while it won’t happen overnight, “we’re in it for the long haul. This is part of my life now.”

Fulton appeared on Meet the Press after NYPD Chief Ray Kelly defended “Stop-and-Frisk,” a practice that a federal judge determined violated the constitution and discriminated against minorities, who make up 90% of the stops.

“You have to give, not only civilians, but police officers, the right direction,” Fulton said. “You can’t give the authority, whether it’s a civilian or a police officer, the right to stop somebody just because of the color of their skin.”

When it comes to changing policies related to how young people of color are treated in America, Martin family attorney Benjamin Crump called for people to vote in the midterm elections and to lobby legislators to amend Stand Your Ground laws.

“Trayvon voters have a clear cause: capturing the passion over the devastating verdict returned in the trial of George Zimmerman and transforming these feelings into actions that can and will make a difference,” Crump wrote in an op-ed in the Washington Post....

It won´t be hard for her I´m sure to find some discontented upset people, whose life styles has led to their own demise. I talked to people who do customer returns at Wal Mart. And depending upon your profile, they make it easy, or difficult to bring back the merchandise. She never sent her punk rock son into Wal Mart for an exchange, because she knew he would be profiled. I hope the lady can get her race to do MORE to stop armed conflict and armed robbery.

Anything to divert the nation’s attention away from the real problem of violent black criminals. If Black mothers would raise decent black children, there wouldn’t be any profiling, but the likes of Trayvon’s mother would never admit that.

Not all white people are ignorant victims. Some of them simply avoid blacks, and others carry guns for self defense.

The game plan for the communists is to make everyone as intense as a MB member and a community organizer.

That is what Common Core is about. They are building a domestic army of community organizers.

She should be working on creating an environment in the 'hood where a baby's mama stays with the baby daddy and both raise the kid to be a productive citizen.

She essentially abandoned St Tray at age two. She needs to be called on the carpet for that.

She didn’t want him in her house when he was alive, but he’s quite a project now, isn’t he? Guilt is a great motivator.

Had this woman paid as much attention to Trayvon when he was alive as she is now he’d still be alive.

Sybrina Fulton needs to be held liable for her poor upbringing of St. Tray.

She needs to have a Stand your Ground law applied to her when it comes to abandoning her kid.

GZ profiled St. Skittles as someone who was probably on drugs, possibly violent and clearly up to no good.

He was right.

Soon, almost all of them will be carrying guns, whether it’s legal where they live, or not.
