We haven’t tried The Blaze TV, because we are trying to cut back on our expenses. I listen to Beck on the radio, and sometimes he’s really good, and other times he isn’t. I may give it a try some time if there is a free trial.
Roku is a mixed bag. It’s good for people who like movies and documentaries (my husband), but not so great if you like news and sports (me). All the news shows are just clips of programs. Nothing live now that we’ve lost Al Jazeera. My husban subscribes to Netflix, and that is on Roku. So is Hulu, but we don’t subscribe to that one.
For sports, I get the MLB package (my splurge since we’re saving so much from dropping cable). However, with college football around the corner, I will only be able to see the games that are on the main networks. We have an HD antenna to bring in our local stations. Sometimes the reception is a little iffy, but that may be due to our lack of technical skill at getting the darn things set up correctly.
We already had the HDTVs and the wireless router, so the Roku only cost us about $100 or a little more plus we spent about $100 on the 2 antenna things.
