I’ll start out on a positive note:
Even though NY has more abortions than any state in the country, Gov. Cuomo wanted an abortion expansion bill, which would endanger women’s lives, as well as kill more unborn babies.
My husband, sister and I joined about a thousand pro-lifers at the Capitol in Albany in a Vigil for Life, plus many groups fought Cuomo’s antilife bill, and we WON! The bill was not passed! (But the antilifers will probably try again.)
I think Gibson did very well in his election. He’s not as pro-life as I would like, but he does mostly vote pro-life.
Yes, the NY GOP in Hoffman’s district wanted liberal Republican Dede Scozzafava, and as you know Owens ended up winning. btw, with the redistricting, Owens has a new district. I don’t know anything about Elise, but I’ll check her out.
In my area Republican Sen. Roy McDonald was one of the ones who voted for same-sex “marriage,” and he finally LOST an election to a pro-life, pro-traditional marriage, pro-2nd Amendment rights Kathy Marchione - MORE good news.
So even in the very liberal NY, we have some rays of sunshine once in awhile. :)
If Mark Levin’s new ideas on the states making amendments to the Constitution catches on, it will be so important to have good politicians in the states, as well as the Congress.
Good luck to you in CT, and CT is lucky to have someone like you there.
