I wish Rush would stop using the term “African American.” It’s a term I think conservatives should avoid. There are blacks and there are whites, or Negroes and Caucasians, but saying “African American” just buys into the notion of identity politics.
Exactly, the Rush of “words mean things” needs to take charge of his usage and the first thing eliminated should be any use of the hyphenated “American” label people have taken for themselves. Shortly after that, he can go to work on eliminating “gay” and referring to the traitor Bradley Manning with anything other than a male name or pronoun.
I can’t forget the article I read here a few months back in which a ditzy, college student was lamenting the fact that many “African Americans” were being killed in the wars in Africa. It sounds as though her Marxist “perfessor” taught her that if your skin is “black”, you’re an “African American” regardless of where on the planet you live. LOL! Morons!

I recall hearing some mediot reporterette refer a foreign black as an “African American.”

I refuse to use the term for a segment of the population that are generations removed from African ancestry, and refuse to deal honestly with the role of Africa in the slave trade.
I can relate to Rush’s comment.
My Father is long gone and I only have daughters.
I think this is a great slogan for me too.
It’s this kind of thing — this cultural rot, this decay — that you can’t even address without being called a racist.
Those who define the terms usually win the arguments.
