Barack Obama was two years old and growing up in Hawaii when Martin Luther King Jr. delivered his “I Have a Dream” speech from the steps of the Lincoln Memorial. Fifty years later, the nation’s first black president will stand as the most high-profile example of the racial progress King espoused, delivering remarks Wednesday at a nationwide commemoration of the 1963 demonstration for jobs, economic justice and racial equality.

Obama believes his success in attaining the nation’s highest political office is a testament to the dedication of King and others, and that he would not be the current Oval Office occupant if it were not for their willingness to persevere through repeated imprisonments, bomb threats and blasts from billy clubs and fire hoses. …

So the POTUS wants to be judged by the content of his character, does he. With all due respect to him, does he really want the same assessment that was given to Babylonian King Belshazzar? Never mind the judgment due to AP for mixing leftist politics directly into this article.

Spare me. The sodomite worships a wife cheater and communist? Although I’m not surprised, I’m not impressed either. He probably worships him more than his boyfriend, Reggie Love.

This all makes the “content of their character” comment ever the more ironic.

MLK worship is an abomination. Not only was the ‘content of his character’ highly suspect. Those around him who are still alive today have proved the rhetoric doesn’t match the actions.

Maybe, as long as you can ignore King’s views.

Obama’s hero is obviously a MLK who has been “vividly re-imagined” by progressives.

Seriously! What black man in the last half a century HASN’T said King is one of his heroes? And yet how many of them even know the first thing about his crusade other than what they’ve gathered from sound bites?

The claim is so cliche it’s meaningless.

He like Martin Luther King except for that one quote:

“I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character.”

If people in this century had paid attention to that statement, he would’ve never gotten elected.

How many times will Obama refer to himself in today's speech at the MLK event?I hereby set the over/under target at 50. My bet is OVER. What say you?

Drink a shot of Jack every time 0bama says I, me, or my. Methinks you will be toast half way through the speech (if you can listen to it).

Obama can think King for the establishment of AFFIRMATIVE ACTION. Without it, Obama would be riding on the back of a garbage truck in Chicago.

The Democrats have turned this commemoration into a high-profile advertisement for the Democratic Party. Look at the speaker list. The entire thing is a manipulation of public opinion. Like a totalitarian state, but slightly more subtle. And if you criticize them for that, they’ll call you racist.

"Without it, Obama would be riding on the back of a garbage truck in Chicago".

People who ride on the back of garbage trucks actually work for a living. Give one example of Obama ever having worked.

From his words and actions it’s clear obama doesn’t have the personal integrity or moral fortitude to commit to the teachings of Reverend King. Although he loudly denies it, obama is much closer to the preachings of the America-hating “Reverend” Wright (of course obama claims he never heard any of those racist rants during his two-decade association with the nutcase).
