all with "Syria's Hands on the Trigger" ...

For Putin, Syria is a demonstration show. If you think anything less, then you are wrong.

Putin needs to enhance the attractiveness of the Russian arms industry, which used to be a major source of exports. This might be the way to do it.

Then Obama would have to explain how he thought it was acceptable to send US forces to initiate an attack against a country which had not attacked Americans, without Congressional OK.

I totally agree. Syria has bought hundreds of silkworms from Russia and if the US attacks they are liable to blow off a few and aided by Russian satellites might well take out one of our carriers. How is Barky going to splain that one to the public?
