While over 100,000 people were expected to show up at todays ceremonies marking the 50th anniversary of Martin Luther King, Jr.s I Have a Dream speech, late estimates put the crowd numbers at 20,000. Mike Levine of ABC News reported at 2:10 p.m. ET that unofficial crowd estimates from law enforcement sources put the number at over 20,000.

These numbers always seem to favor the Left too. Our marches are vastly undercounted, and theirs always seem to be inflated.
There’s a good chance there were only 5,000 there.

The sad thing is that doesn’t even matter. All of media covered it as a watershed moment, and that ‘we have so much more to do’. Just like we saw less than 10 people to show up and Sandra Fluke campaign events last year, but the media was able to mention these events as a huge outcry about the threats to women by the right.
Our side better figure out how to counter this current method because we are losing ground rapidly. We went from having a clear majority on our side from 2009-2010 to completely throwing it all away. Tactics need to change to counter the left’s tactics.

I didn't watch it but saw some of the photos. I shouldn't have been, but I was surprised at all the white koolaide drinkers in attendance cheering on the racist pronouncements of Al Sharpton et al.

Looks like the buses traveled to DC, and then spread out all over for todays “fast food strike”.
Here in Indy the local news even showed the SEIU troops getting off the buses in the predawn hours and demonstrating in front of a downtown McDonalds.

There is about 300K blacks that live in D.C.
If 90% of them can’t even make it to a rally in their own city why should the rest of the country even care.
That is pathetic.
“Down with the struggle” - maybe, but a 10 minute bus ride (Even sitting in the front) is just too much to axe.

Of the few long crowd shots that CSPAN showed, I could see about 15 to 20 thousand at the pinnacle of that charlie foxtrot. Any more would be a stretch. Most of the day looked like about 2 to 3 thousand tops for the less important speakers. Definitely not even close to the numbers they wanted. But I’m sure they left enough trash to make up for the low attendance numbers.

******
Make no mistake about it, our marches and especially the numbers on the 9/12 march in DC, struck fear in hearts of libs. To this day they are deeply afraid of the Tea Party.
The “visuals” of nearly one million people in DC made quite a statement. Too bad we haven’t done this again.
To: Starboard
I agree, but actually we should get 20 million there. We’re talking some serious issues.
