I took an ethnomusicology class at the University of Washington in 1967, so it is not something recently made up. Not saying I learned any more in it than reading Nate Hentoff on the back of LP covers.

Most of us can avoid them, but some of those who can’t are killed by them. Nobody even pretends to care what they want/demand anymore; they have no “skin in the game” and are spectators to foreigners with little education or command of the English language passing them on the socio-economic ladder.
