Posted on 08/29/2013 3:29:00 PM PDT by BarnacleCenturion
Here are the speakers 14 questions:
What standard did the Administration use to determine that this scope of chemical weapons use warrants potential military action?
Does the Administration consider such a response to be precedent-setting, should further humanitarian atrocities occur?
What result is the Administration seeking from its response?
What is the intended effect of the potential military strikes?
If potential strikes do not have the intended effect will further strikes be conducted?
Would the sole purpose of a potential strike be to send a warning to the Assad regime about he use of chemical weapons? Or would a potential strike be intended to help shift the security momentum away from the regime and toward the opposition?
If it remains unclear whether the strikes compel the Assad regime to renounce and stop the use of chemical weapons against the Syrian people, or if President Assad escalates their usage, will the Administration contemplate escalatory military action?
Will your Administration conduct strikes if chemical weapons are utilized on a smaller scale?
Would you consider the United States military to respond to situations or scenarios that do not directly involve the use or transfer of chemical weapons?
Assuming the targets of potential military strikes are restricted to the Assad inner circle and military leadership, does the Administration have contingency plans in case the strikes disrupt or throw into confusion the command and control of the regimes weapon stocks?
Does the Administration have contingency plans if the momentum does shift away from the regime but towards terrorist organizations fighting to gain and maintain control of territory?
Does the Administration have contingency plans to deter or respond should Assad retaliate against U.S. interests or allies in the region?
Does the Administration have contingency plans should the strikes implicate foreign power interests, such as Iran or Russia?
Does the Administration intend to submit a supplemental appropriations request to Congress, should the scope and duration of the potential military strikes exceed the initial planning?

Hey John, you might as well have sent those questions to Mylie Cyrus.
Got to find a cook book featuring gremlins...
Completely backwards, as usual.
The President has no independent right of military action, other than to repel invasion and suppress insurrection if Congress is not in session.
Of course, in the nuclear era, this entailed putting a very VERY big stick in the hands of the President.
But it is the sovereign that declares war, and bombing Syria (or Libya, or Serbia) is war for real. What pea-brain and Valerie think about this is not Boehner’s concern - his concern should be what the People, whom his House represents, think about it.
Here are my questions.
What is the evidence?
Where is Waldo Boehner?
Where is Congress?
15) Will you and your boyfriend be playing spades while the bombing is going on?
So I guess a letter from the blubbering cheeto is supposed to suffice for consultation?
I’m actually kind of glad that there won’t be a “debate.” It means the uniparty is no longer going through the motions of acting like there is any substantive disagreement between their respective gop and rat factions.
Since there is Apparently no immediate threat to America or our allies in what the Syrians do to each other why doesn’t mr boehner schedule debate on this matter? This would allow congress to deliberate and decide pursuant to its constitutional war power.
Or Valerie Jarrett.
The “Duty to Twerk” theory.
My one question:
“What the HELL do you think you’re doing?”
This ‘Commander-in-Chief’ stuff has gone far beyond Constitutional authority. A person can only exercise the powers of CiC after the controlling authority, in this case Congress with power to declare war, says to go ahead and do your duty. I know that such formality has been breached by Republicans and Democrats and that is why such illegal actions get perpetuated.
This is ridiculous. Bring the House back into session!
That is my question to Boehner, “Why in the hell have you not shown some leadership and called the house back into session and acted on this and started the defunding of Obamacare?”
What a blithering idiot this mama’s boy is. I am so sick and tired of these half raised boys running our country.
Finally we get someone like Cruz in office and I pray to God that the corruption does not corrupt him.
BFD. Bonehead thinks this exonerates him for not calling congress back in session?
I see Boner’s talking to the hand again.
