I want to see the entire 178-page budget summary!

Guess I will have to wait until someone at the Post leaks it.

They were not even able to keep Al Quaida out of the Oval Office.

That’s failure on a level you don’t see very often.

Lots of slush funds in a “black” budget when congress doesn’t have to be told what it’s being spent on.

I hope there are hundreds, if not thousands, of “Snowdens” out there.

The NSA concerns were outlined in top-secret documents provided to the Senate and House intelligence committees in February 2012, well before Snowden emerged this summer as the sole source of massive new disclosures about the agency's surveillance operations. The Post released only 17 pages of the entire 178-page budget document, along with additional charts and graphs, citing conversations with Obama administration officials who voiced alarms about disclosures that could compromise intelligence sources and methods. 17 out of 178???? http://www.sfgate.com/news/article/Dispute-over-report-about-secret-NSA-budget-4771945.php

I’M ON TEAM SNOWDEN..!

Good going, Ed, way to go..!

I used to be one of those “I’m not American unless I support EVERYTHING the intel community does”-IDIOTS.

Now I’m not. I’ve totally changed.

The CIA is NOT full of conservatives, despite being loathed by Hollywood.

In fact, it’s pretty liberal and I’m beginning to think maybe the NSA is also.

I support Snowden, even if he has some whacko supporters.

...and now, a bit of realism for those who don’t really grasp the situation here. The money quote:

SNIPPET: “Some will say “disclosure is good.” But in this case, disclosure tips our enemies to our goals, capabilities, and gaps in what we know and can do. This disclosure is not good. It’s a very dangerous world out there and Snowden has just given our enemies significant insight into how we think and operate.”

” U.S. spy agencies have built an intelligence-gathering colossus since the attacks of Sept. 11, 2001, but remain unable to provide critical information to the president on a range of national security threats”

That’s because they are busy spying on us instead of the Muslim aggressors.

What are they talking about?? The only critical information they need is on Tea Party and similar like-minded patriotic Americans. That is what’s really important.

Simple quick answer...95% of CIA personnel work inside the U.S.A.

Obama administration had restrictions on NSA reversed in 2011
The Washington Post ^ | Ellen Nakashima

Posted on Sunday, September 08, 2013 6:59:34 AM by originalbuckeye

The Obama administration secretly won permission from a surveillance court in 2011 to reverse restrictions on the National Security Agency’s use of intercepted phone calls and e-mails, permitting the agency to search deliberately for Americans’ communications in its massive databases, according to interviews with government officials and recently declassified material.

In addition, the court extended the length of time that the NSA is allowed to retain intercepted U.S. communications from five years to six years — and more under special circumstances, according to the documents, which include a recently released 2011 opinion by U.S. District Judge John D. Bates, then chief judge of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court.
