Well, I have a life outside of FR.
You birthers have LOST the intellectual argument.
You have LOST the political argument.
You have LOST the legal argument.

And you have long ago lost whatever mind you may have ever possessed.

Replying to Kansas58 Vendome writes: Yes, yes, yes.

You are most certainly the legend in your own mind.

I don’t think you are stupid but, age has addled more than your mind.

I do not know what he once was, but he is currently very stupid. I can't recall ever having seen more inane and childish ranting than what this kook puts forth. The closest second place kook in my experience was "Squeeky Frome". At least SHE was kicked off Free Republic for being a kooky loon.

She's still out there ranting in internet land, but fortunately we no longer have to notice her.

Kansas58's sole argument is the fallacy of false authority. That's it. He has nothing else.

Do not let the perfect be the enemy of the good.

In the real world, few things and few solutions are really perfect.

So, losers like you are against anything that works.

Yes, you promote a losing strategy based on your own personal need to feel superior, which makes YOU a loser.

You consider yourself some kind of intellectual giant, but the more people study these issues, the more they turn against you.

Do not let the perfect be the enemy of the good.

Putting aside the continuous sophomoric personal attacks that have nothing to do with anything of any real importance, your argument falls apart on the idea that legislation which violates "you shall not commit murder," and "we hold these truths to be self-evident," and "to secure the Blessings of Liberty to Posterity," and "No person shall be deprived of life without due process of law," and "no State shall deprive any person of life without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws," is somehow "good."

After you given all that up, in the name of your "clever" strategy, what, pray tell, do you have left that argues against the practice of human abortion?

A rational person would try to protect as many lives as possible.

It is not rational to believe that a total ban on abortion could happen anytime soon.

YOU are PROABORTION since you refuse to take steps that would end millions of abortions.

YOU EV HAVE BLOOD ON YOUR HANDS, YOU ARE KILLING BABIES BY YOUR ARROGANT REFUSAL TO FACE REALITY!

Again, putting aside your grotesque personal attacks, I have to say that your Utilitarian arguments, while still not being moral or constitutional arguments, would have more weight to them if there was any evidence that you’re “saving some.”

But, on the contrary, all the evidence points to the fact that your continued sellout of the only decent moral, constitutional and legal arguments against abortion have for forty years accomplished nothing except to assure the continuation of abortion on demand.

I have given you a solid example:

Abortionist George Tiller's 2nd opinion “Doctor” Abortionist has been forced out of the abortion business due to laws restricting late term abortions and requiring such second opinions.

This has saved COUNTLESS lives.

You “no compromise” types opposed the laws that have put MANY abortionists out of business!

The POINT, the STRATEGY, is to lay legal “land mines” and “traps” whereby abortionists can be charged with crimes or whereby abortionists can be sued in Court.

The POINT is to make it unprofitable to be an abortionist.

That you oppose such a WORKABLE and OBJECTIVELY SUCCESSFUL strategy indicates that you, EV, are simply an attention seeking egomaniac who cares NOTHING about actually saving any lives at all.

Your personal attacks are so far over the line as to be laughable.

But, in any case, all they have to do is go up the road to the nearest mass murderer. I really don’t know why you find this so hard to understand.

Our unalienable rights are not supposed to be protected by travel inconvenience. They are required by the supreme law of our land to be equally protected by our laws.

But the incrementalists like yourself keep passing laws that grant “legal” permission to kill all the babies, as long as they are murdered according to your arbitrary schedule, and by your rules.

Which continues to assure the heinous practice of abortion on demand.

It’s really very simple.

Cruz is eligible to be President.
If you disagree you are an idiot.
If you think that Anyone has any authority over this decision, other than the States and the Congress, then YOU are anti-Constitution!
The Courts have NO power under our Constitution to rule on the eligibility of any candidate for President.

I question how you can claim to be “conservative” when the Constitution gives NO power to anyone other than the States and to Congress, to determine eligibility.

If some one is not a naturalized citizen, he/she is a natural born citizen due to parental citizenship status. If one was born to an American mother during a safari in African, one is a natural born citizen.

So quit the in fighting and work on the big picture of getting behind a conservative who can win.

Yes, absolutely I will bend anyway possible to avoid a leftist democrat winning the WH in 2016. I am pragmatic. Not a head-strong and obstinate person full of ego.

IMHO only 3 GOP candidates have the intellectual capacity, charisma and ability to debate MSM on their feet. Cruz being one of them. So I am not going to tie myself in knots over his eligibility. If Obama was deemed eligible by the powers that be, I have zero problem with Cruz’s eligibility.

Yap, that self deprecating humor was the Gipper’s strong suit. Cruz, the champion debater from Harvard, should try to cultivate that quality. Cruz is however on a much higher intellectual level than Reagan, so there is that compensation.

While at Princeton, he competed for the American Whig-Cliosophic Society’s Debate Panel and won the top speaker award at both the 1992 U.S. National Debating Championship and the 1992 North American Debating Championship.[26] In 1992, he was named U.S. National Speaker of the Year and Team of the Year (with his debate partner, David Panton).[26] Cruz was also a semi-finalist at the 1995 World Universities Debating Championship.[27]

I congratulate Ted on his graciousness in respecting his elder and inferior, withholding fire and promoting his own talking points instead.

Senator Cruz is the kind of conservative that brings joy to
the libs. He ignores Ronald Reagan’s 11th commandment not to
speak ill of fellow Republicans, some of whom now label him
a fraud. Cruz’s obvious placement of personal political goals
above country, is becoming clearer every day.

Sadly, in 2016, Cruz is likely to be strong enough to knock
off Rand Paul in the primaries, and with the 2 of them both
bloodied, open a path to saddle us once again with another make believe conservative in the mold of a Romney or McCain.

Hmmm., I’ve heard a lot of the “My way or the Highway” mantra lately....

Is not this site funded by donations?

Dialog, even when unpleasant, is valuable and should be encouraged, not stifled (I agree ad homenim attacks notwithstanding).

I personally believe NBC is more than what a corrupted SCOTUS, or a federal law states. NBC means just that, not derived from some act of will or act of law based on a flawed interpretation of the 14th Amendment.

Ted Cruz, in my opinion, like Mitt Romney and Obama, does not meet the NBC criteria of being born to two parents, both citizens, natural or naturalized, at time of his birth, within the jurisdiction of the US.

Sorry, but the principle of Occam’s Razor applies.

If you dislike my opinion, based in the understood definition of international law of the day (of the Constitution)and decide to ban me for it, go ahead.

Be kind enough to send me a note though, otherwise you’ll be acting like “them”...

Both law and SCOTUS opinion are changeable, the wording of the US Constitution is not.

Anyway, I like Ted, too.

I just refuse compromise any longer, after all, it is only our republic at stake.

Fortunately, Ted Cruz is NOT like Romney or Obama. Ted Cruz is a genuine pro-God, pro-life, pro-family, pro-gun, pro-drilling, pro-constitution, small government, big defense Reaganite conservative and carries the blessings of the grassroots conservatives. In short, he’s exactly what we on Free Republic are looking for in a president. Also, fortunately, as he was born to a fully qualified U.S. citizen working in Canada, he’s a natural born citizen. Those who know me and love Free Republic and all that we stand for will appreciate all of the above. Our highway is the straight and narrow one. You can walk with us or not, Your choice. Thank you very much.

Okay, I’ll do it, but you’ll have to convince my wife.

If anyone thinks Cruz or Paul or Lee etc will get a GOP nod in two years, your are smoking something.....
