OK,two combat tours...wounded.First,do we know the nature and extent of his wounds? Perhaps they're serious enough to warrant separation.Of course if he is separated he'll get a pension and other benefits and that's as it should be.Also,is it possible that his superiors and/or medical personnel have seen signs of mental instability...which certainly could be,if it exists, the result of having seen too much combat? That, too, could warrant separation.Who knows what this guy was like before his first combat tour? He could have been the calmest, most serene guy on earth. But he most certainly isn't today.

Shot in the right hand (trigger finger), two wounds from one round. Yes, could affect his ability to hold and accurately fire a weapon, although other occupational specialties for which he could train where that is not an issue. Or alternatively, train to fire left-handed, if warranted. Just from the video, one can see psych problems, likely a major case of PTSD. Doesn't excuse his behavior, but if in following military orders he's developed these issues, the Corps has a duty to treat him. Ty Carter, former Marine and now an Army staff sgt., received the Medal of Honor just this week. He was a misfit in both the Corps and the Army, and still suffers from PTSD, but his command chain have stuck by him. I hope this guy's superiors do the same. Tough call.
