Obama is passing the buck to Congress. He is again trying to have it both ways. If Congress approves it, then Obama can claim a victory and Congress will share the blame if things go wrong. If Congress disapproves, Obama will claim the moral high ground attacking those who failed to support him. He will question their patriotism for not supporting their country and making it look weak and ineffective.

And the real question is what kind of resolution will Congress support. There are hawks like McCain who want a much stronger response that includes regime change. Will just a pinprick, symbolic strike be supported? How much latitude will Obama be afforded? Will Obama go ahead if Congress votes it down?

This is all about how this affects Obama personally. He knows that most voters don't want a military strike against Syria. Obama wants to be loved. He needs Congress to share the responsibility. I have no doubt that Obama's travel to the G-20 meeting in Russia next week had a bearing on his decision. He can appear at the meeting as a great democrat seeking the approval of Congress for this decision.

Obama painted himself in a corner. He wants to be bailed out. Congress will help him do that no matter how they vote.

"Between the lines...Kerry is saying that congress WILL agree with Obama or ELSE!"

Interesting thought; will Obama use the NSA intercepts and opposition intelligence to blackmail votes? Will he use bribes and access to his off budget slush funds to buy votes? This opens up all sorts of ideas to assure that he gets the vote he wants.

Inhofe: “Our military is degraded (because of the
First Moslem undocumented Tyrant)”.

King: “pRes_ _ent is weak and vacillating”
(but he will vote to attack Syria).
He also attack the GOP calling it “an isolationist wing”.

This sudden affinity for Congressional approval and bipartisanship is so transparent. This admin knows the likelihood of House approval is slim. They’re just looking for a mid-term issue for the 2014 elections.

More evidence this administration is completely inapable of negotiating or building coalitions.
SNIP
Now we see how out of his league Obama really is.

Libs are like fire ants. Once they move it, it is next to impossible to get rid of them.

Indeed...just ask Vermont and New Hampshire (both FORMERLY conservative states).

Allowing congress to make zeros decisions, where no move is a good one, gets the monkey/problem off zero's back.

If Congress takes any action at all, it should be to repeal the War Actions Act (1947?)

Wallace: Why are we only considering a limited attack?
(FOX “News” wants al Qaeda to get FULL support
and regime change to bring al Qaeda to power in Syria).

Reed (D): Wants the attack limited for “principle”
to stop others with chemical weapons.
but wants more weapons transferred to al Qaeda.

Wallace: What message is sent from the undocumented Tyrant
holding off for a week?

Inhofe: The mistake was drawing a ‘red line in the sand’.

Summary: FOX “News” shows its bias with Wallace
who cannot stop pimping for Obama and al Qaeda.

Thanks RG, the publisher is going to start working on the book in Oct and it should take 3-4 months to produce. I think people are going to like the part you copied as it explains the simple efficiency of a truly free market.

I changed the story quite a bit from your version but it mostly stays the same.

I have posted many times that Obama is just the 'face' of the Administration. What is scary is what is happening behind the scenes. All those 'appointed' Czars are not just sitting idle.

Any 'president' who runs to the golf course or cloisters to the residence during crises is not the one making decisions on major issues.

I see it in a different light. I think everything they do is 100% politically motivated. Passing the buck to Congress on Syria buys time.

When Syria is over as a diversion most likely by the end of the month its time for the debt ceiling. Then amnesty.

Once again the scandals of the summer which could easily have led to impeachment will be memories. Just what axel/jarret et all were looking for.
