RAND SLAMS KERRY: 'HOW CAN YOU ASK A MAN TO BE THE FIRST ONE TO DIE FOR A MISTAKE?'
Big Peace ^ | 9-1-2013 | TONY LEE

Posted on 09/01/2013 9:05:58 AM PDT by Bratch

Appearing on Meet The Press on Sunday, Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) slammed Secretary of State John Kerry on his willingness to intervene militarily in Syria by twisting his most famous words against him.

"I would ask John Kerry, How can you ask a man to be the first one to die for a mistake?" Paul said, in reference to Kerry's famous words against the Vietnam War to the Senate Foreign Relations Committee in 1971.

John Kerry, you go in first with all your military experience “reporting for duty” and your purple heart

As much of a war hero as he has always claimed to be he should just go into Syria Rambo style and clear all this up without using the military. I would support that.

Don't worry about the rice that got shot into my @$$ and got me a purple heart.
It was only short grain, so it didn't hurt too badly.

,,,,he (Kerry) should just go into Syria Rambo style...

I like that Rand Paul brought this up. It's taken forever. When Kerry came back from VietNam, he headed VietNam Veterans Against the War. His first US Senate run in MA included a very strong anti-war platform and a deep suspicion of those who instigate them.

It's odd and out of character for Kerry to (1) not be very suspicious of it being Assad who's responsible for the use of chemical weapons and (2) be speaking about war as a solution to anything and (3) seriously believing that the scope of war involvement can be contained.

I'm wondering if Obama isn't enjoying seeing Kerry in this awkward situation of being hung out to dry. Keep in mind Obama didn't want Kerry as SoS. He couldn't get Susan Rice.

This is going to be one of the biggest problems for Obama, Biden, and Kerry. That is, they’ve demonized and maligned the motives of anyone who has had the temerity to not agree with them for so long that now that they need people on the other side to reach across and work with them it’s going to be nearly impossible. I blame them with their big lies about Bush (he lied to them about WMD, remember?), the domestic opposition (all racists, by the way), and continuous assaults on religious leaders who don’t support abortion and day-after pills for children. Obama is going to have a long way to go after he’s been so disdainful of nearly all Americans to the right of George McGovern.

Excellent points. But it doesn’t matter to these turds. These are idealists. All logic is trumped by their belief that they will listed in history as helping to fashion an “arab spring” to Eqypt, Libya, Syria and God knows what else - Saudi Arabia? They don’t care if it brings in the muslim brotherhood because they see themselves as MB style anti-establishment radicals.

Just watched John F'n Kerry on FNS. A few questions come to mind:

* Who, indeed, are "our friends" in the region (not counting Israel)?
* With the known "signatures" of the Sarin gas, WHO manufactured it?
* If the Sarin gas was stockpiled, who controlled the stockpile?
* Is this one of the chemical weapons moved from Iraq by the Russians in 2003? Did the US issue these weapons to Iraq years ago?
* Who manufactured the Sarin gas delivery system?

Just askin'.....

Kerry is the quintessential manipulative and opportunistic slug who should NEVER, EVER been allowed near elective office.

If you want to see a perfect film portrayal of Kerry, check out the senator in Mel Gibson’s action packed flick “Edge of Darkness”. The folks who wrote and cast that part must have had photos of Kerry tacked to their office walls.
