Sat in Church today and listened about how scary it is to allow the love of God and the Grace of Jesus’ sacrifice into society. Palin has me shakin’ in me bootsies...

IMO she should be standing up and explaining why it is wrong to accept tens of millions of people who came here against the laws of our nation.

This is a perfectly reasonable question to ask, but do not be surprised if the answer is squarely within a Christian framework.  You mean stealing from others?  Do you mean causing disuption in our schools, our health care system, or government services?  What are you referrring to?

If God can forgive you, and God can forgive me, then God can forgive them.  Does God eliminate the prison sentence of a man who commits grand theft auto, then repents?  No.  He merely acknowedges a man's true repentence and watches over him as he serves his sentence.  I am sorry people came here illegally.  I forgive them.  THEY NEED TO GO HOME.  We have 40 million U. S. Citizens out of work.  Those people do not deserve to serve out the sentence for the illegals who would be fogiven, and not have to serve out their sentence, repatriation.  Your pie in the sky idea of forgiveness, has real negative impact on good citizens who don't deserve it.  They did nothing wrong at all.

The key question is what their future will be. I would not be surprised to see a "nuanced" solution that would, wisely and deftly, shunt the bums back to Mexico, while keeping the industrious folks.
Why is it that you have so much compassion for the law-breaking illegal immigrants who are here, and so little compassion for the 40 million legal U. S. Citizens who are out of work today?  Honestly, you're trashing yourself and the institutions you believe in, by pushing this line of flawed logic.

What's more, you're doing this in the name of a person, and by so doing are really pushing some of our buttons negatively.  Your logic exemplifies her logic.  Do you think this endears us to her?

You are doing far more harm than good on this.  You've turned your back on what is right, to support a person who doesn't deserve your support.  As a Conservative you shouldn't have to twist your beliefs to the point of contortion to explain why they make sense to you.  Simple explanations should do.

Because it's the law... (a reasoned law)
Because it harms citizens...
Because it is wrong...
Because it is destructive to our communities, our counties, our states, and the nation at large...

These are simple truths, that God is NOT going to ignore to fix in a way that causes harm to citizens to the benefit of illegals aliens.

If Palin were to gain power and institute her stated plans concerning illegal immigrants, this once God-fearing nation would be done for.

Which prospective candidate do you see as not doing exactly that? Remember, anyone that says we can't just deport them all, will ultimately get us to full amnesty. Even those that declare that we must seal the border first, are being disingenuous, because the law already says we have borders.

I hear not one word from anyone of the GOP or GOPe, saying that OboZo's feckless enforcement of current law, replacing it with something more near his choosing, is an impeachable offense. Not anyone with a committee that has a voice is demanding impeachment, or even substantive hearings and criminal charges. The IRS scandal continues unabated, as well as Bengazi, Voter ID.........

Note that you are now taking a solid absolute position that this CANNOT be God’s will.  I believe that God favors men getting together and devising reasoned laws to govern.  Having done so concerning immigration, I have no reason to think God looks unfavorably on those laws being enforced.  I do not believe that God favors a lawless society.  If He did, why bother asking men to abide by His laws?

As well as caricaturing my position as one saying it MUST be God’s will. Both distortions are Satanic, sir!  Call me satanic if you like, but I read your comments, and you left no doubt that Sarah's plans were to be taken as the direct will of God.  I couldn't buy into that, and I called you on it.

I’m saying give holy consideration a chance.
No!  That is NOT what you are asking for.  You are asking for me to completely capitulate on this issue, based on the pie in the sky idea that Sarah Palin is now the arbiter of God's will on planet earth.  You go back and read what you posted here, and I defy you to come to any other conclusion based on your own comments.

Also if you want God to forgive you and to forgive me maybe we should give holy consideration to a situation where He may be asking us to forgive others too.  And the cost to unemployed U. S. Citizens and their families?  Who forgives them and gives them the jobs they were displaced from?

The crux is a WISE forgiveness.  I don't consider it reasoned, wise, fair, or any other descriptor you wish to thos out, to forgive one person at the expense of another.  You have spent a lot of time here debating me on this, and haven't once expressed any consideration for U. S. Citizens.  Why is that?  What did our citizens do to you, that you push to rights of illegal immigrants of theirs?

Some of the Hispanics who came without permission have in fact prospered in an otherwise upright fashion. They would be good candidates for forgiveness. Others? Well give them a first class plane ticket... back to Mexico. And yes we can guard the border better, it is a matter of will.

Okay, we'll here we are again.  Now we're at the point in the conversation where we're going to praise how folks used the stolen funds and services, and advocate for them being forgiven on that basis.

Another words, it doesn't matter who robs a bank, it's how they spend the funds that really counts.

Yep, I guess I should fall in line behind Sarah now.  NOT!

Do you have any idea how bad the logic you are expressing here is?

I’m sorry, but what exactly is “frightening,” “terrifying,” and “chilling” about praying, going to church, and making sure your kids don’t stumble upon X-rated websites?

Secular humanist libtards are afraid of a morality that is absolute and based on natural law which is eternal. They prefer a subjectivistic morality because it is relative and based on positive law which can evolve and change. Subjectivistic morality allows for experimental lifestyles and permissiveness. Also, they believe in a psychology of self actualization, which allows them to do whatever makes them feel good.

Honestly, you've reduced Conservatism to some flawed logic paradigm that we shouldn't seek to support. Guy, honestly, what's up with you today?

I'm worshiping God more seriously than I have ever done in my life before. That's what's up! And God is blessing me richly for it in the spiritual and material worlds, all for the sake of glorifying Him. It can't be for glorifying me apart from Him. It can't be for glorifying you apart from Him. However He will gladly glorify Himself in me and in you if we sincerely seek for that.

I'm saying let's take our very best ideas, as well as our not so good ones, and lay them at the Lord's feet. Sometimes the good ideas need refinement. Sometimes they need to be laid aside for a while to make room for an even better idea we may not have thought about. Think of where the BLESSING may be had. That Cross wasn't a decoration. That Cross took away all sins and offered mankind the ultimate Reset button. The Lord wants to take over the task of chastising, a chastisement which is intended to shake men up until they can see His beautiful light.

I’ve been wanting to post this somewhere (and if you know the name of the twitterer who said it, I’d appreciate the info):

Someone commented that Sarah Palin must not have paid attention in school and, naturally the SRM tried to make it a meme. Yet, we have a sitting President who told the entire world he doesn’t even know what kind of government we have. Stunning.

PS I will gladly forgive you for grabbing onto something Satanic... remember our Master calls us into a common battle. Give that devil the boot without remorse.

I told you, you can call me anything you like, and you can infer anything you like.  You're not drawing me off topic.  You just believe what you want, it's okay with me.  It is not Satanic to refuse to believe Sarah Palin is the arbiter of what God wants on planet earth.  The proposterous nature of what you are pushing here, causes me to distance myself even farther from Palin, even though it's not actually hear fault what her well-meaning supporters veer off into.

For the record, I will not be giving the Devil the boot, because I am not harboring Satanic beliefs here.  It is incredulous that you would stoop to that level in order to run cover for what Palin wants to do.  I never saw you for this sort of person,, and it's rather distrubing to see.  I'm going to consider this a mis-adventure for you, because we have been at this way too long for this to be your true nature.  I know it isn't.

People, we should consider treating differently. Bringing people into the sphere of God involves things that may seem nonintuitive, like overlooking certain offenses.

I am not going to sign on to these people being legalized so their children can remain a drain on our schools, their families can remain a drain on health care, local communities, counties, regions, states, and the nation.  Your idea of forgiveness, is to hand out massive limitless credit cards we all have to pay for, just not them.  And then there's the issue of all the U. S. Citizens who are displaced.  What did they do to receive God's wrath in deference to foreign nationals?

You are so lost in space here.

Actually, cardinal sins. All sins fall into one of those categories. There is theological dispute between Christian worship communities as to whether there is a sin that makes you lose your salvation once gained... I read the Bible as saying no. The mortal sin is one that literally kills your body. But anyhow. The Democrat platform does look like “Go and sin some more.” And as much as they may scream for a blind amnesty for illegales (a matter I’ve been debating here with another person) they are a VERY VERY unforgiving people!

It is Satanic to dismiss out of hand that she may have a Better Idea from God. You can let go of that but only if you choose.

You are lost in Satan’s miasma. God deals in futures now, not in pasts. Give the discussion some patience. Vibrant, living Christianity can give the issue a whole new “English” that you never thought about because the gospel has been so flaccid here in the past.

You are clapping to Satan here for the most part. Some small allowance of “maybe” was made to God, but then Doughty began railing again.

Let’s expand the “maybe” to “take a good hard look at what the gospel can do” (a genuine gospel, not a gospel of state activity while citizens sit on hands) and put a hold on the “railing.”

Brilliant use of projection.

“They said what they would do, and we did not listen. Then they did what they said they would do.”

This is a fanciful line in the book based on lies and stereotypes liberals believe about Republicans, but it is 100% true in reality if you apply it to Obama and his fundamental transformation promise...

Ninety nine percent of what a moderate to liberal believes is bad about Republicans originates from the fact that they equate Republicans with Christianity.

I see this on liberal Facebook groups--Look at what is happening with Obama's Syria humiliation--you would think the liberal groups would double down like Obama himself and command their followers to "like" the caption "we support our president and his defense of freedom! Like if you agree!"--but no. They resort back to calling out the church for hypocrisy, or demand they remove their tax-empt status... The same thing occurred when Obama spent 100 million on his African trip. Even some of them know there are things they will or can not defend--so keep that s--t quiet, and get back to bashing Jesus !

Half the country feels this way, and in that half are regular church goers,as well. It makes no difference. Leftism would not have been created or survive without hatred of Christianity.
