IIRC President Reagan always put on a tie and a jacket when he was working in the Oval Office in respect of his predecessors.

What a difference!

The shoe on the desk and the hand “gun” gesture do not make this flaccid Clown President presidential. He should be in a prison for the rest of his worthless existence because of his crimes against Free America and the Constitution. What a clown loser.

Not always:

However, when he did wear a coat and tie in the Oval Office it certainly wasn't out of respect for people like Jimmy Carter and Woodrow Wilson.

Reagan did that out of respect for the OFFICE of the Presidency, which he well understood is more important than the person occupying the Oval Office at any one time.
