Skip to comments. Why are major media outlets ignoring bestselling writer Mark R. Levin?

To read the book reviews in The New York Times, the Los Angeles Times, The Washington Post or The Boston Globe, you might be unaware of the existence of the work of Mark Levin.
Unless you skip to the page with the bestseller lists. Levins new book The Liberty Amendments: Restoring the American Republic, last week hit No. 1 on all three New York Times bestseller lists for which it qualified hardcover nonfiction, e-book nonfiction and the combination of the two. Yet the paper, like the others mentioned and their counterparts on the magazine rack, continues to ignore Levin, whose book signing at Book Revue in Huntington, Long Island led to huge lines on Aug. 17. So, who is this man of mystery considered unfit for mention despite selling millions of books? Levin is one of the most successful nonfiction writers working and the host of a popular Tea Party-friendly conservative talk radio program that airs nationwide, weekdays at 6 p.m. on WABC here in New York. It claims 5 million listeners.
Levin is a polemicist. On the radio show, he comes across as Rush Limbaugh with a law degree. He calls for the impeachment of Barack Milhous Nobama, denouncing French Republicans (they give up too easily, and possibly eat fancy cheeses) and declares, in response to a threat to shut him down that, he said, came from a Republican congressman he wouldnt identify, Im not going to put up with fascism on my watch.

The most insidious power the media has, is the power to ignore.
amazon is pulling out all the stops to make sure Mark’s book isn’t at ‘bestseller’ status. It is at #3.
#1. Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association, 6th Edition [Paperback]
#2. Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, 5th Edition: DSM-5 [Paperback]
Hilarious. They must have had millions of unsold copies of these awesome books laying around; just in time for someone (who knows, perhaps NGO subsidized tax dollars at work) to line up around the block to buy them.
For your Sunday enjoyment...
Because truth must be concealed from the masses at all cost.
Bump for an awesome book that could help deter CWII in this country.
That is not exactly true. Those are rankings based on the number of days in the top 100.
Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association, 6th Edition - 1363 days in the top 100
Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, 5th Edition: DSM-5 - 152 days in the top 100
The Liberty Amendments: Restoring the American Republic - 51 days in the top 100
Mark Levins book is featured at the top spot on Amazons Hot New Releases section. It is actually number 52 among all best sellers of all types adult fiction, young adult fiction, childrens books and non-fiction and reference books based solely on sales volume but I expect that ranking to climb as it hasnt been out all that long.
When you look at Amazon, you will notice that this time of year you will see a lot of reference and educational books having high rankings because its back to school time. And the DSM 5th addition was recently published so you are probably seeing bulk sales being reflected as physicians offices and hospitals, etc. update their reference books.
I get emails from Books a Million and Barnes & Nobles because I have their preferred shopper cards and both have been featuring Levins book prominently and on their websites. I was at Books a Million and it was featured in the front window and on a table display at the front of the store.
The college bookstore in my town dismantled its NY Times bestseller display, rather than call attention to the conservative books that made the list.
Why do you think?
The NYTimes never reviews the work of serious conservatives. It’s a propaganda outfit, that’s all. If you want a decent review, read the American Spectator.
Why did the same media ignore the Kermit Gosnell case???
Why did the same media ignore Fast and Furious???
If a tree falls in the forest and no one is there to hear it, is there a sound?
The MSM works on the same principle when it comes to Levin and most conservative authors-—ignore them and they don’t exist
I quit reading the NYTimes (and other lib rags) back in 1990, when I lived in NJ/worked in NYC, and moved to PA. “AS” is one of many sites I visit.
That’s a new edition of the DSM, so yeah, and the APA and DSM generally come out at the same time. People in those professions will of course have to buy them, and Amazon’s the #1 seller of books.
Mark will be on CPAN Book TV in Jan 2014 - just announced. Keep an eye out.
“The most insidious power the media has, is the power to ignore.”
That is a PROFOUND remark.
Wish I could take credit for it. It was Chris Plante, 9am-12noon, WMAL, DC.
Glad you echoed him.
