This President has shown a unique ability to make the correct foreign policy judgments in the worst possible way.
Barack Obama has had a very embarrassing time of it over Syria and the trouble stems from a problem Ive written about before: He continues to make pronouncements that he doesnt really intend to carry out. His Mubarak Must Go was the start and he got lucky there, since Muburak went, as a result of the Egyptians wanting him to go. He was also lucky with Gaddafi must go, achieving the desired result with a maximum of international support and a minimum of U.S. force. Assad Must Go hasnt worked so well, and chemical weapons as a red line has been an absolutely disaster for American read: Obamas credibility, compounded by subsequent statements like a shot across the bow.

I'm surprised progressives have stayed with Obama's war-mongering this long. Maybe Obama asserting that "Snowden's a traitor" and our loss of freedoms is a little much for them.
Has Obama done ANYTHING that would give progressive a reason to support him?

Joe Klein hasn’t a clue what is the right thing to do. You could sum this article up as: Bill Clinton was my favorite smart crook, but, much as I love him, Barack Obama is a dumb crook.
All Klein cares about is that his beloved crooks succeed, regardless of how evil their projects are.

It looks like he will fall flat on his face and start a war that will will end with Israel defending itself and having to nuke Damascus. Iran will jump them also and probably Egypt.

Ubama wants to implement policies over which he has no apparent control so that he can campaign against them.

Good question. Sounds like “Well, I don’t think so but I doubt it’’. Or this New Jersey gem; “He thinks who he is’’.
