Kentucky High School Art Teacher Has Students Stand on American Flag
Breitbart ^

Posted on 09/01/2013 8:34:31 PM PDT by chessplayer

As Kathleen Fox with The Paducah Sun reported, an art teacher at a Kentucky High School set up an exhibit where students were supposed to stand on an American flag while they wrote how they felt about it. Art teacher Shand Stamper at McCracken High School in Paducah set a music stand with paper to write on on top of the flag so that students could contemplate their feelings and then note them.

Michael Ceglinski, the principal, stated that Stamper had erred, and continued that the display had not received approval by the administrators or the school.

If someone stepped on a rainbow flag, that would be called a hate crime.

This is the same story as the Florida college professor (aka local Democrat party activist) who had his class "stomp" on Jesus.

Same curriculum, different icon.

Only in college, they tried to pass it off as an under-graduate lesson in critical thinking.

What's their excuse with high schoolers?

And a bonus question: is this evidence of a larger movement to manipulate the way our children see the world, or just an isolated coincidence?

How about the class standing on the art teacher and ask him to write how he feels about it.

If it had been a Koran the teacher would not have been said to have “erred” but would be fired immediately with possible hate crimes charges following.

It must be nice to be a liberal principal or superintendent, and let a teacher do the dirty work you cannot personally do, and then, if it goes badly, claim ignorance and publicly penalize the subordinate - but then back in your office share a drink with them and pat them on the back and say “i had to do that for the cameras”...

Stomp on Jesus?

Yes. Were you paying attention in March?

Professor Makes Students “Stomp on Jesus”

This is not an isolated incident. It's part of a coordinated school curriculum that they tried at the collegiate level, and are now pushing down to the high school level.

University Bows to National Outrage, Won’t Punish Student Who Refused to Stomp Jesus

Florida governor stokes 'stomp on Jesus' fire

University Apologizes for 'Stomp on Jesus' Lesson

Florida Atlantic University Reinstates "Jesus Stomp" Instructor

Decision whether to use 'Jesus Stomp' assignment is up to faculty

Does anybody see a pattern here? Initially acquiesce to public outrage, test the waters, back down and apologize, quietly reinstate the people involved, and then continue to allow the original behavior to continue when the outrage subsides.

That's how liberals do it. Republicans? They cower at their own shadows.

Bronson was Russian, he was a tough dude. In real life I don’t doubt for a second he’d be a hard ass if attacked.

And would you not agree more people understand exactly what I mean using “Bronson” instead of “Kersey”?

On the first day of school every year there is a teacher at Nimitz High School in Irving TX who excoriates students who believe in Jesus. He asks those who are religious to raise their hands and then proceeds to tell them why they are wrong.

Truly.

This is very common.

The sad thing is that they were probably reading our debates on the matter, in order to improve their indoctrination.

From my post on March 27, 2013:

If he was truly intending to lead a discussion on the personal value we place on symbols, he could have used something more neutral, such as a paper image of the American flag. He could have achieved the same classroom results by having the students stomp on, or burn, the image of the American flag.

Teacher issued a very sincere apology. At being caught. No sanctions, just lots of publicity and a slap on wrist.

Lesson learned by her and other like-minded teachers, for the future, is to not get caught.

I wonder if anyone ever tells him, that if he has a problem with God, he needs to take it up with Him?

I still say our only hope is home school. By the 2nd grade I knew the proper treatment of the flag. I would have never let a flag touch the ground let alone stand on it. My father would have whipped the daylight out of me had he found out. As for Jesus, I prayed even though I wasn't saved until much later. I was respectful to God and would never have insulted someone's religion. It was taught to me that Christianity was what our country was founded and based on. We even had classes to explain the Bible verses that pertained to the branches of government, and many other "American" concepts. Even an atheist knew our history even if he chose not to believe for himself.

Today, you either conform or you are trampled on. When tyranny happens like this in history, it always ends in bloodshed.

Liberals screwing up the heads of young liberals in a liberal institution where liberal parents have expressly sent their liberal kids to have their heads thus screwed up.

Kinda like sharia approved muslim-on-muslim abuse. I kinda care, but I kinda don’t.

Now, if they want to bring that indoctrination into -my- personal space, my guide in diplomacy and tact would be Steven Seagal.
