90%+ of American adults could do an $8.50/hour McDonald’s job.

How many could do the job of the McDonald’s CEO? A few dozen?

The way to successfully increase wages is to increase the demand for workers.

We could do that by restoring the import tariffs back to where they were for the first 190 years of our country’s existence. Lets make things in America again.

It would also help if we closed the border and stopped immigration while our unemployment is so high. (25% according to shadowstats.com)

“And Guam will tip over with too many people on it.”

*chuckle* I’m worried that we have people like that in Congress.

If fast food workers, who I have think have a place in this world, get the wages asked for... the owners/managers will make the initial outlay and buy robots.

I know that is what I would do.

But I met fast food workers today at McDonald’s who have been working there for a decade and still making $8.50 an hour,” Rep. Jan Schakowsky (D-Ill.) said on MSNBC.

$8.50 an hour would be too much to pay this idiot, Schakowsky. Economics is just too hard of a subject for communists.

yes, raising the minimum wage created soooo many jobs the last 3 times they did it as we can clearly see in this graph. And you can always just blame Bush again when it doesn't work.

House Dem: Fast-Food Wage Doubling Would Create ‘Millions of Jobs’

Yes, I imagine millions of out of work fast-food workers would create millions of new state bureaucrat job openings to take care of unemployment claims, not to mention millions of federal bureaucrat job openings to come up with idiotic proposals to deal with the crisis created by this idiotic proposal.

"The McDouble is the cheapest, most nutritious food in the world's history". Not if this idiotic proposal is enacted - and a cheap, nutritious source of protein and nourishment for the poor in the US (and Obama is growing their numbers every day) will be gone.

The day of completely automated McDonalds restaurants is fast-approaching.

So, when you double their wages, 'Jan', you will merely make the cost-tipping-point come about that much quicker.

Then you will have ZERO jobs.

Skipping the bowl and eating stupid right out of the carton.
