Climate science alarming, irrefutable: Kerry

AFP 3 hours ago

US Secretary of State John Kerry said Monday the evidence for climate change was beyond dispute but it was not too late for international action to prevent its worst impacts.

"The science is clear. It is irrefutable and it is alarming," Kerry told a climate conference in Majuro in the Marshall Islands in a video address from Washington.

"If we continue down our current path, the impacts of climate change will only get worse."

Kerry said without strong, immediate action, the world would experience threats to critical infrastructure, regional stability, public health, economic vitality, and the long-term viability of some states.

Washington's top diplomat was addressing climate experts meeting on the eve of the Pacific Islands Forum (PIF) in the Marshall Islands, a low-lying nation where rising seas threaten to swamp many atolls.

"I stand with you in the fight against climate change," he pledged, adding the issue was a global crisis that was beyond one country to fix and needed urgent global action.

"If we act together, there is still time to prevent some of the worst impacts of climate change," he said. "But the people of the Pacific Islands know as well as anyone that we also need to prepare communities for the impacts that are already being felt."

Kerry is not attending the PIF, with Secretary of the Interior Sally Jewell representing the United States instead.

He also got caught trying to keep that boat moored in CT, RI wherever somewhere outside of MA because the MA taxes were too frigging high, too. But that’s beside the point.

The main point I have is that he and his Administration Ilk have this position on GW and all of its documented dubious credibility, why on this earth should anyone give any credence to their positions on other matters, i.e., Syria et al?

Honestly, they remind me of South Park’s Underpants Gnomes. You know, the little guys that steal underpants in the night because of their corporate credo:

Step 1: Steal Underpants,
Step 2: Mumble, blither, blather [incoherently], and
Step 3: Profit!

OMG! RUN!!!

The attempted masseuse rapist, the drunk fat tub of pig vomit Al Gore, is worth over a quarter billion bucks from this scam now which should give people an idea why the scam artists and traitors like John Kohn/Kerry are still pushing it.

Climate change is irrefutable. It has happened over and over on Earth. The Great Lakes were made by Glaciers. Greenland is called that for a reason. That climate change occurs is not in dispute. What is in dispute, and refutable, is that climate change is a new phenomenon that just happens to be our fault.

If we all lived the lifestyle of the two Global Warming Prophets Al Gore and John Kerry the Earth would be a burnt cinder.

John and Teresa Kerry own several valuable properties in the U.S., including:

A five-story, twelve-room brownstone townhouse (with six fireplaces, a rooftop deck, and an elevator) in Boston’s Beacon Hill. This home is John Kerry’s main residence and was assessed at a value of $6.6 million in 2003

A nine-room colonial home on a 90-acre family farm in Fox Chapel near Pittsburgh. This home is Teresa Kerry’s longtime residence, where she lived while was married to John Heinz and where she raised her three children. It is valued at $3.7 million.

A ski/vacation home located near the banks of the Big Wood River in Ketchum, Idaho, fashioned from a reassembled barn originally built in England in 1485 and brought to Idaho by Teresa Heinz Kerry’s late husband. It was purchased for $4.9 million in 1988.

A three-story, five-bedroom waterfront estate near the Brant Point Lighthouse in Nantucket’s harbor, where John and Teresa Kerry were married in 1995. The beachfront property is valued at $9.1 million.

A 23-room townhouse in the Georgetown section of Washington, D.C., valued at $4.7 million.

The aggregate value of these five homes is roughly $29 million.

For a good time ask your libby friends to explain this:

Ok - now let's have a grown-up discussion about the fact that anyone living on these atolls will perhaps, someday, need to relocate...

Let's get this straight...the green movement is teaching our children and all who will hear that we have to act immediately to prevent “global warming”, now phrased as “climate Change”.

Then, an effort is made, however small, the climate will either remain the same or cool. Then those making the case for climate change will announce that they through their efforts have affected the climate, and establish a basis for further efforts to restrict our economy, bring it under state control, and cool the planet.

Hogwash! This totally disregards the scientific fact that the earth's climate is not heating up, and if anything is already cooling. All fluctuations are caused by the normal sun's cycle, and volcanic eruptions. If anything we are headed for a glacial period.

If they succeed in their “green efforts”, and in so doing, destroy our economy and republic, they will always shout to all who will listen, that they have saved the planet.

The green movement evolved out of the socialist movement of the late 60’s and 70’s, and has always had the eventual goal to destroy our republic, and establish socialism in the US.

Restore Our American Republic. R.O.A.R.

That’s the funny thing. Kerry claims credibility about Syria and whether the US should go to war; then he spouts off about some wacko fantasy like MMGW.

“It is vital to the US economy that we must continue our stimulus policies,” said Ben Bernanke, “because I was told we have to do this by a magical unicorn in dreamland.”

I agree with you, but even if we were going through climate change to the extent that it would have these effects, there is no clear proof that this is caused specifically by human activity. Further, if we had the capacity to markedly lower CO2 levels, tomorrow, would it be smart to do that? Do we really know enough about climate science that we could be assured we wouldn’t screw ourselves by intervening?

Kerry was a C student in college http://usatoday30.usatoday.com/news/opinion/columnist/benedetto/2005-06-10-benedetto_x.htm , and despite his ‘progressive intellectual’ demeanor, has no credibility to be weighing in definitively about climate science.
