The Tyrant's allegiance is not to the US flag but to al Qaeda.

FWIW he's not disarming us much.

The Dem/libs have been engaging in a steady push to infringe on our right to keep and bear arms for decades. And this is how it has been working out for them in the last two decades...

And in the last two months... (Nov. 2012 and Dec. 2012)

And it continues...

MOLON LAVE! WE'LL BUY MILLIONS MORE. ;-)

President Obama ordered two more executive actions

They're Not Executive Orders...

Obama’s coup is due for a stop at SCOTUS. Let’s hope he’s defeated there. If not, people of the states RISE UP and nullify unconstituional exectuive commandeering of our country.

The only loophole is the one that Barry is using to go around the Constitution.

Is CMP considered “private”?

Also, the administration said it will deny requests to bring military-grade firearms back into the U.S. to private entities

As bad as this order is, it should not affect the vast majority of surplus guns that are imported commercially. As I understand it, this only stops rifles that were sent by the US to its allies from coming back.

President Obama ordered two more executive actions Thursday to restrict guns, banning the re-importation of military surplus firearms to private entities and proposing a regulation that would close a loophole in background checks.

Neither of these "proposals" is within the administrative purvey of an EO. They are an unconstitutional usurpation of power.

Thank you for referencing that article yoe.

Why did you indicate that Thomas Sowell wrote the article when the article indicates that Dave Boyer wrote it? Or do I have the wires crossed somewhere?

Mr. Boyer needs to understand that the Supreme Court officially clarified in Youngstown Sheet & Tube Co. v. Sawyer that executive orders, which are not mentioned in the Constitution, do not have the force of law unless supported by Congress.

And since Congress is divided on gun issues (and everything else), such executive orders are pure theater imo. In other words, Obama is probably trying to make himself look like a king making edicts in the eyes of low-information voters.

Sending this to my congresscritters:

Recently the president took executive action banning the re-importation of US military surplus firearms to private entities.

These firearms, primarily 1903 Springfields, M 1 Garands and M 1 Carbines were used by our Armed Forces to liberate hundreds of millions of people from tyranny.

They were then lent or given to many of the liberated countries to arm their militaries and guard their freedom.

When these countries no longer have use for these arms they are re-imported back to the US and sold to civilians through the CMP which was chartered by Congress in 1903 to promote firearm safety and marksmanship.

These arms are primarily purchased by collectors, target shooters and citizens that value their historical significance.

These arms do not end up on the street and are not the weapons of choice of street criminals or terrorists.

The obama regime has armed Mexican drug cartels and Chicago street gangs with modern weapons in a cynical plot to increase gun violence so as to create the atmosphere conducive to more draconian gun control laws.

The rationale for this executive action is to infringe on the 2nd Amendment and keep these arms out of the hands of the people that this regime fears most, the American Patriot.

DO NOT LET THIS STAND!

Meanwhile......

New Black Panther leader’s gun charges dropped

Gun charges against a new Black Panther Party leader have been dropped, court officials said.
After pleading guilty in Gwinnett County last year to writing a bad check for $3,000, a felony, Hashim Nzinga was arrested for selling a gun at a DeKalb County pawn shop, authorities said.
It is illegal in Georgia for a convicted felon to have a gun, and Nzinga, 49, was charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and arrested on March 26.

Time to take the gloves off entirely on gun rights. Frankly, out in the real world non-liberals sometimes find themselves caving to public pressure. I currently work in academia so I understand the pressure some people may feel to at least say publicly that they support “common sense” gun legislation and background checks. With Obama being this out of control about it, we now have the means by which we can explain that we cannot give even an inch on run rights, because when it comes to gun rights, you give a give a gov’t an inch and they will take miles from you by force. If nothing else, Obama has at least given us real proof we can use the next time he get hounded at work, among friends and relatives or anywhere else as to why we don’t support background checks and “common sense” legislation.
