WASHINGTON (AP) — Two Republican foreign policy hawks said Monday that President Barack Obama needs to make a strong case for attacking Bashar Assad’s Syria if he wants to win congressional backing.
At the same time, Sens. John McCain of Arizona and Lindsey Graham of South Carolina said it would be a mistake for Congress to reject Obama’s request.

Good God I wish these two would disappear.....
For the Demonrat enabling GOP-E, maybe!
But not for my beloved country!
Double Dog Dittos!!
I look forward to the day this cancerous fool is gone.
Why? McCain is a progressive liberal. THEY really believe that IF they say it , it is true.
Go Home McCain, you jackass. You are a disgrace to the United States, who saved you.
If this congress passes the Syria war with no additional evidence of info about the goals and exit plans, we are looking at president Rand Paul in three years.
ADVANCE PIECE TO ARIZONA. DO NOT PASS GO. DO NOT COLLECT $200 DOLLARS.
P. S. YOU LOSE YOUR TURN FOR THE REST OF THE GAME.
In his latest Ramirez covers:
Syria Denies Using Chemical Weapons
When, as is inevitable, John McCain passes on, I will rejoice in the same way and with the same fervor, that I did when Ted Kennedy did.
GRRRR...McCain is nothing more than Obama’s lapdog..
it cannot be said enuf
McLettuce wanted Lieberman as his Vice President and
John Kerry wanted McLettuce as his Vice President
Notice how the two guys who went to Egypt to visit with the Muslim Brotherhood are the same two guys hyping a Syria strike??? Hmmmmm.. I’m thinking McCain and Graham are working to create a situation (Syria) which overshadows revelations about 0bama’s dirty plots with the Muslim Brotherhood in Benghazi resulting from the upcoming trial of the MB in Egypt.
I disagree. We’re led by kakistocrats.
FRiends, I gotta wonder about all this Syria stuff. Are we being played for suckers?
Lemme explain. As we all know the ‘rat operating philosophy is to never let a crisis go to waste. The timing of this is certainly suspicious. Its not like this is the first or last time the Syrians have used this stuff. Probably not the first or last time this year. So why the sudden urgency? Why now? And then why was it suddenly OK for this to wait till Congress reconvenes?
Could the underlying issue be the upcoming fight over boehnercare? I found it very interesting how the gop wing of the uniparty went into hiding over the Syria issue. Then they came out very quickly with their response after the Saturday I-love-me fest. Gosh. It was almost like it was all ready to go. You dont think it could have been, well, coordinated do you?
The fact that mcqueeg is beating the war drum shouldn’t surprise us. But is it possible he’s just part of the distraction? Cover for boehner and friends to simply ignore the boehnercare defunding because, well gosh golly gee, we had to talk about Syria?
More questions than answers I’m afraid....
The president thing is up in the air. Never underestimate the stupidity and short memory of the American voter.
What is for certain is we will be looking at a mess and another domino in the Rube Goldberg machine the communists have designed to destroy this country.
Great point! Scroll down and take a look at the image of Linda’s notes. I saved the image for further analysis! ;)
Stuff it in your as$, John.
Our leadership is so bad it is frightening. I loath that creature McCain as do many.
McCain made crystal clear in his campaign that he hated Sarah Palin’s guts and had a crush on Obama.
We are not the worlds policemen. We need to stay out of other countries problems.
Who owns those two? Cui bono?
Sen Graham beat him to it.
McCain is a catastrophe. He has done enormous damage during his political career. I have always wondered if he flipped during his Vietnam days and is actually working for the other side.
Ok, now that is out of my system, is it a requirement that people in DC become brain dead after a few years?
I mean is there someone there knocking them in the head with a hammer?
Should we provide helmets?
Is it the water?
What the hell happens to there people?
McCain speaks and all that comes out is blah blah blah blah.
Apparently never means 13 years.
My suspicious mind wants to know what the hell is in this for him. What is his angle? Who’s bankrolling his position? I know for sure it ain’t out of the kindness of his heart that he wants to bomb Syria.
Obammy= “Does that Manchurian Candidate come in black?”
I stopped wondering that YEARS ago!
They are not my leaders. The amnesty duo keeps rocking along.
Y’all save the image of Lindsey Graham’s notes, flip it and zoom in. Kind of interesting, even though most of the words are really hard to read.
If you vote "For" and things go bad, you'll get the blame;
if you vote "Against," you'll get the blame.
You'll get blamed no matter how you vote.
So vote "Present"
Let the Democrats have it - he's their President.
1400 is nothing
Remember Tienaman Sq....over a thousand killed!!
“If this congress passes the Syria war with no additional evidence of info about the goals and exit plans, we are looking at president Rand Paul in three years.”
Not a bad thing in my view. Not my top choice, but a pretty good one after Ted Cruz and Sarah.
Muslim crazies killing other Muslim crazies, good for us, probably good for Israel as well.
As Napoleon said, "When your enemy is making mistakes, don't interfere".
I’ll bet there is some ugly in McLettuce’s past....
Let us hope it is catastrophic for McCain.
He does bear a remarkable resemblance to igor, doesn’t he?
The Congress shall have power...
To declare war, grant letters of marque and reprisal, and make rules concerning captures on land and water;
I reread Article II just to be sure. I couldn't find "The President shall have the power to lob explosives anywhere he damn well pleases without having to ask anyone." Maybe it's a penumbra.
I got news for ya, McIgnoramus: Obama's Occupancy of the Oval Office is a catastrophe. Big Time.
I had to look that word up. lol I believe this is all about getting at Iran. The creation of a distraction is an added benefit along with other benefits for our mil/ind complex.
I say Iran, because of the involvement I've seen by the Saudis and even Israel.
