Kerry on Obama Attacking Syria: “He Has Right to Do That No Matter What Congress Does”

On three national television programs on Sunday, Secretary of State John Kerry repeated an argument President Barack Obama had made on Saturday when Obama announced that he wanted Congress to authorize him to use military force in Syria.

The president does not need authorization from Congress to initiate acts of war, Kerry said.

“He has the right to do that no matter what Congress does,” Kerry said on CNN’s “State of the Union. “That is his right and he asserted that in his comments yesterday.”

“The President has the right and he has asserted that right that he could do what’s necessary to protect the national security of the United States at any point in time,” said Kerry. …

I want impeachment real bad. He has no authority beyond the constitution and he admitted it by going there in the first place. He needs to be impeached as the worst president ever. TERRIBLE president

In 2007 Biden emphatically and passionately said...that Bush had

"no constitutional authority ... to take this nation to war against a county of 70 million people unless we're attacked or unless there is proof we are about to be attacked. And if he does, if he does, I would move to impeach him."

The president does not need authorization from Congress to initiate acts of war, Kerry said.

And then horse-face said, what are you going to believe, me or your lying eyes?

50 USC § 1541 - Purpose and policy
(c) Presidential executive power as Commander-in-Chief; limitation
The constitutional powers of the President as Commander-in-Chief to introduce United States Armed Forces into hostilities, or into situations where imminent involvement in hostilities is clearly indicated by the circumstances, are exercised only pursuant to
(1) a declaration of war, (nope, ain't got that)
(2) specific statutory authorization, or (nope, ain't got that - yet)
(3) a national emergency created by attack upon the United States, its territories or possessions, or its armed forces. (nope, that didn't happen... unlike 9/11/01)

Call it a day, barky. We're not in the mood.

Kerry certainly is a two faced horse face.

Funny, but I just don’t recall him making these kind of statements for unilateral bombings during the ‘04 debates with Bush.

Bammy needs to drag Assad to the World Court. This is a legal issue (especially for the muzziebro lovers who believe the WOT is a legal dispute).

Or H0lder could try Assad in Federal Court in Manhattan.

John Kerry, who came a few thousand Ohio voters short of being Commander in Chief of our Armed Forces:

“You know, education, if you make the most of it, if you study hard and you do your homework, and you make an effort to be smart, uh, you, you can do well. If you don’t, you get stuck in Iraq.”

Kerry is a fool. He is the kind of useful idiot that other smarter, more evil men take advantage of to advocate dumb, I mean breathtakingly stupid ideas like that. Does he even realize he’s promoting an idea that leads fairly directly to fascism and dictatorship? I don’t think he is bright enough to figure that out. Even when told, he’s probably naive enough to trust the likes of hussein. Idiot.

” ... all the republicans can do is sit quietly on the sideline.”

That’s not fair. `Republicans’ like King, McCain, Graham and others are all working hard, urging us all get on board with the Obamanites and their concern for fundamentalist Islamists.
You remember the Islamists, right? They killed 3,000 of us in 2001 in an unprovoked, surprise attack, cheered our losses on 9-11, killed Russian school kids three years later, they shoot at us, here and abroad, car bombings, that little thing in Boston just recently ... they are why non-muslim Barack Hussein Obama wants to take us to war.
And the Republicans are right there slurpinp-up his s***.

Kind of like George Zimmerman on a rainy night in Sanford?
Say anything, and the political/media/democrat buffoon industry will attack with partial quotes, edit words, ignore facts and charge one with first degree murder.

The buffoons of the Republicans are very loudly out there.
McCain and Graham. LOL!

That you heard little from the rest of the vast majority of them yet, should comfort you, if you care about the real world.

Uh-huh...
So then why did the African communist scumbag Ubama vote "present" yet again and kick the matter over to congress if it doesn't matter what congress says? Here's why Kerry was told to make the assertion that Ubama will do as he pleases regardless of what congress says: He is giving members of congress an "out" to vote "no" (since their vote doesn't matter anyhow). The Urkel regime WANTS them to vote "no". Ubama simply doesn't have the stomach to take military action unilaterally. He's got that Nobel Peace Prize and everything, after all. The cowardly, indecisive Ubanga is seeking cover to walk away.
