Reuters Jeff Mason and Mark Felsenthal report: John Boehner, Republican speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives, said on Tuesday he would support President Barack Obama's call for military action in Syria and urged his colleagues in Congress to do the same. Speaking to reporters after a meeting with Obama at the White House, Boehner said the United States had to respond to the use of chemical weapons in Syria and show allies that America would stand up when necessary.

With Republicans like these, who needs Democrats?

Boehner bending over and spreading for Obama is just one more thing to throw on the huge pile of “reasons I don’t support the GOP any more.”

.@NancyPelosi : “President Obama did not draw the red line. Humanity drew it decades ago.” She supports attack on Syria.

Doesn't even feel like we have two parties, just one big party with different letters next to their names.

Not unexpected. There is no 'opposition party' in America. That's the bad news.

The good news is, after Obama (and now Boehner, too) start World War III, there will be no human life left on the planet Earth.

GREAT GOING, GUYS!

...and how cooperative were Daschle, Pelosi, Reid, and Obama during the Bush years?

Boehner needs to go. He needs a conservative primary challenge.

How predictable. Why couldn’t he wait to take a position until Kerry, Hagel and Dempsey testify this afternoon?

Well, if BOEHNER says we have to respond, then I know I’m convinced....

Boehner must be suffering from some sort of spousal abuse syndrome. Obama beats him up time after time, and he just keeps going back for more.

These “representatives” are out of touch with the nation.

My ongoing question is: what then?

Suppose we do a cruise missile attack?

Will the civil war just continue after we do this attack?

Will Assad and his boys still continue killing civilians, except just kill them the old fashioned way, instead of with chemical weapons?

What is our national security interest in a civil war in that part of the world?

Who are the good guys in that civil war?

If Assad if overthrown as a result of this war, is that in our national interest?

Could Syria become an Al Qaeda state if that happens?

Does it matter that these civilians were killed by chemical weapons as opposed to being killed by conventional means?

Is Assad quaking in his boots that Obama declares we’re going to have a congressional debate on this subject?

I hate it when a dictator uses armored vehicles and chemical weapons against his own civilian population including women and children.....like Bill Clinton and the Democrats did at Waco.
