A 21-year-old man killed by a north Charlotte convenience store employee Thursday night is the second alleged robber shot to death at the store in the past six years.
Javon Sanchez Booker of Charlotte died after being shot about 9 p.m. at the Fast Mart store on Tom Hunter Road near Reagan Drive, Charlotte-Mecklenburg police said. That is a short distance from Interstate 85.
Booker entered the store and tried to rob the clerk, according to police. Police have not said whether the suspect struck the clerk. Investigators say the clerk pulled a gun and fired at the man.

Well... gosh. Ya’d think the perps would get a memo out that robbing THIS store is a less-than-brilliant idea.
Nobody ever accused criminals of being smart.
However, this is a good thing. Removing a criminal POS from the air breathing segment of humanity saves the rest of us his future predations. Anyone other than the black kongressional caucus claim that violent criminals are just misguided and will go become choirboys once they've had their slap on the wrist?

Robbing a convenience store is not quite the easy money it once was.

The reporting slipped up. “Javon” is obviously and probably exclusively a Negro name.
He was trying to earn a little money to help his grandmother by doing odd jobs about town. His choice of gig, however, turned out to be riskier than he expected.
To the uninformed, south Charlotte is the nicer part of town. The north side along I-85, not so much.
