Posted on 09/03/2013 12:49:46 PM PDT by Kaslin
RUSH: I tell you again, you know, Obama with his red line and huffing and puffing all last week, "I'm gonna go in there and I'm gonna do what's necessary! Human lives are at stake! Human lives are on the line. He's gassing his own people. We can't allow that. Oops! I'm gonna take a walk around the White House for 45 minutes, and I'm gonna decide, 'You know what? It doesn't matter! I don't have to do it right now.
"'I'm gonna wait for the Republicans to give me a congressional use-of-force authorization. Yeah, that's what I'm gonna do. Even though I don't need to it, I'm gonna wait for the Republicans to do it so we can appear to be putting forth a united front.'" Do you think he cares about a united front? What he wants is, he can't lose either way. If the Republicans don't give him authorization, don't vote for the use of force, he can then not do anything about Syria and blame the Republicans for being heartless, mean-spirited, willing to let people get nerve gassed.
He can say, "You know what? If the guy killing his own people isn't Saddam, the Republicans don't care." They'll come out with, "Yeah, if Bashar had attempted to assassinate George H. W. Bush, then they'd do it." No, no, no. They'll bring all of that stuff out of the past. Obama can't wait to blame the Republicans for letting the people of Syria be nerve gassed. Can't wait. I mean, you talk about a great leader? Way to nullify whatever negatives there are on health care going into the 2014 midterms!
That's what he cares about. Now, if the Republicans grant him the use of force and he does it, then he's a great leader. "He put together his coalition. He did all these wonderful things! He overcame the partisanship. He's a great guy!" He can't lose here. He's got the Limbaugh Theorem as an option. The Messiah, great unifier, brings everybody together. The Republicans who won't agree with him on anything were made to understand by Obama that this human rights issue could not be ignored.
So he can't lose here, and I'm just telling you: It's not beyond the realm of possibility that the rebels are doing this and -- like Bodansky says here -- that the regime is aware of it.
RUSH: Ladies and gentlemen, I need to make a distinction on something I just said. When I said that Obama can't lose either way he goes, I shoulda qualified that, because what I meant was as far as the way the media will report it, he can't lose. But the fact of the matter is, he looks like a gross incompetent here. Obama's being laughed at by our enemies around the world. They're astonished.
I guarantee you, our enemies cannot believe how easy they have it. They cannot believe this. They're thrilled, and I think most people in this country... I don't now if it's "most." Outside the low-information crowd, I think people are aghast. I think people look at this and they see Obama as a total screw up and out of his league and incompetent in this area, but the media will never say that. They're gonna cover for him no matter what.
The Congressional Black Caucus has said they will vote against the attack.
This is why I don’t listen to Rush. He spends three hours a day re-hashing obvious points rather than actually discussing topics that need discussing.
I’m not putting any hope in our senate. They’ll give Obama the thumbs up. Hypocrite Boxer, Amnesty Corker. They’re all in on it. We need a surge on the House to stop this monstrosity.
Obama only sought approval after he got the OK from Boehner. Guaranteed!
” Im not putting any hope in our senate. Theyll give Obama the thumbs up.”
Already agreed to in private. Bank on it.
A win/win for the Bamster.
Kerry drowned out Chris Wallace’s attempts to pin him down.
Watching Kerry on FOX NEWS, his face doesn’t move when he talks, too much Botox!
ya ,it’s like horror movie freaky
“This is why I dont listen to Rush. He spends three hours a day re-hashing obvious points rather than actually discussing topics that need discussing.”
For someone who pledged to not carry the water for the gop, he sure hefts a lot of buckets.
No doubt, but he only cares about his job.
“Im not putting any hope in our senate. Theyll give Obama the thumbs up.”
All that remains is the carefully staged choreography I’m afraid.
Sean asked, "Why not go after Iran's nuclear weapons?" Leib says that Syria is the immediate threat.
Joe also had nothing but praise for the "courageous" John Bonehead, for offering his support for the strike.
They've almost ALL gone completely off of the deep end.
The Senate could be tricky with Bernie Sanders and Al Franken. All those New England Dems who criticized the war will now have to eat their words.
It seems that either our political leadership is being bribed by the Saudis or is being blackmailed by our man from MB.

That NSA data on all of them is sure paying dividends now for Barry et al
It just doesn't make sense...as another poster said, with SO many other pressing issues/scandals/travesties in the world, 0 sure whipped this *dire* Syria crisis up, quick.
But the fact of the matter is, he looks like a gross incompetent here.
But NOT as incompetent as John Boehner, Mitch McConnell and the other GOP leadership who will carry his water and get the blame.
Speaker of the House number - for comments regarding his support for Syrian intervention
I was told that lines in DC are HOT today.
He can lose if Conservatives let loose and respond using these examples....
Whatever happened to the UAR ?
We got this guy in the White House who likes to pop his mouth off and because of it people die. He picks on some poor security guard just doing his job. Shoots his mouth off because he sees an advantage to push items on his socialist agenda by painting a target on a supporters back. To which his supporters like good socialists they are spin tales of lies and falsehoods that wind up causing a race war in this country. The GOPES (gop Elite Snobs) so called political opposition leadership want to go along with this bad policy on Syria because they don’t wan’t to be blamed for this terrible idea. With the guard which affects the demographics they claim to be reaching out to blacks, hispanics and whites. They say nothing and can’t even call the political opposition for what they are socialist.
Obama draws some line in the sand on some civil war thats going on in a region whos outcome really doesnt threaten US even though a former enemy which is going through its own stuggles has a naval base there. And now were supposed to support a military action which could cost American lives in the end....All because our fearless leader spoke ?
Now what else should be said ? How about this ?
There are reports from solid sources that the rebels also have gotten into those Iraqi WMD store brought in during the US invasion, and that Assad wopuldn’t use them because he’s winning.
But after the 1st dust up when we kicked Iraq out of Kuwait because of oil when the Kurds acted up and Hussain gassed them we did nothing.
Now we get this high blown democracy b/s about an incident where very likely both sides are reverting to its use. As Syria itself is fragmenting into different identities; Kurdish, Alewite and Shite Nutzies. Which wouldn’t help Suni Iran much either
Who really doesnt want that ? Turks for sure, the Saudis and the Shite principalities. Russia would be OK with it because of their naval base is in the Alewite area.
If the Russians and Syrians start defending themselves to our attack the only person who would benefit would be who ? The guy who started it by opening his big mouth ?
Bringing the US and Israel to their knees has long been the end goal of the Radical Academic Socialists, and their financers like Soros, for DECADES.
An idiotic attack on Syria, with Russia and China responding, could just bring it about.
Franken is already all aboard the war train.
IMHO, the presence of chemical weapons comicatrs things. Worst case scenario, those weapons fall into the hands of Al queida either through our actions or inactions. Whatever action or inaction that we take should reflect that.
Please! Please! Ohio1
Primary and defeat John Boehner!
Dick Morris says it’s all about Saudi Arabia, since Ubama was “flagged” as an “up and comer” as a young man, and it was Prince Alwaleed bin Talal of Saudi Arabia who funded Ubama’s Harvard education and lifestyle in preparation for the political big-time. Morris notes that this is fact, not theory. I heard Morris’s radio show toady (with Gary Marshall) and Morris named the guy in New York who handled the arrangements back then, but I forget his name.
Obama wins by keeping people from remembering the anniversary of Banghazi.
Yes! Good memory.
The fellow’s name was Percy Sutton.
