Couple Adopts Triplets, Three Weeks Later They’re Expecting Twins
Life News ^ | September 3, 2013 | Christina Martin

An adorable and surprising story is making its way through Facebook pages today. It’s the story of a Tulsa, Oklahoma couple – Andy and Sarah Justice, who had a longing in their heart to have children but struggled to conceive. After three and a half years Andy and Sarah decided to go to a specialist but the treatment was too expensive. Instead they went in a different direction and contacted an adoption agency connected to a faith based Crisis Pregnancy Center.

In the adoption process the birth mother got to chose the family she wanted her child to go to. Andy and Sarah were happy when they got a call from a mom letting them know she selected them. Sarah began bonding with the mom by taking her to her doctor appointments. At an ultrasound appointment they all received an amazing surprise. The doctor told them the birth mom was carrying triplets.

Andy told Oklahoma’s News on 6 his response was, ”Well, that’s great, you said you wanted kids.”

On May 18th Joel, Hannah and Elizabeth were welcomed into the Justice family.

That in itself makes for a great happy ending. Yet the Justice family had more in store for them. Just one week after the triplets were born, Sarah found out she was pregnant with twins! Sarah and Andy are now expecting a girl and boy this coming January.

Andy and Sarah are beyond happy with the news. Sarah summed it all up by saying, ”God has a great sense of humor.”

This story delights my heart for a number of reasons. Andy and Sarah could have just given up on their dream of having a family. Instead they reached out to help another woman in need. Little did they know that they would end up having their own prayers answered in a spectacular way. This story is also a positive example of the influence of Crisis Pregnancy Centers in our nation. CPC’s are not just for women who are dealing with an unplanned or crisis pregnancy. They are also safe places for help parents who are interested in adoption or foster care. CPC’s meet the needs of families in a number of helpful ways.

Reading this heartwarming story isn’t enough. You have to see their adorable triplets in this beautiful video interview with Andy and Sarah. Hope it puts a smile on your face.

I pray that the cps/dcf in OK doesn’t try to take a kid or two away ... pull back on the adoptive ones.

Young couples who have a hard time concieving usally put undue stress on becoming pregnant.

Stress of any kind is not an healthy enviroment for conception.

Which is why one hears of so many stories of babies being born when the couple gives up/ adopts or have many babies after the first one is born.

So just relax and ‘enjoy the ride’.....

They could send the triplets back and let someone else raise them. They are within the 30 day warranty aren’t they? :-). Seriously we need more parents like this. God bless them and their new mega-family.

Five kids under 1 yr. old, parents and kids look pretty photogenic.

I expect baby products companies to be falling all over themselves to sponsor this group. Free diapers, skin products, clothing...

A friend of mine tried for 14 years to have kids, they adopted a set of twins and two months later they learned that she was pregnant.

Three graduations, three college tuitions....

The kids are now 28 and are having kids of their own.

We have a similar story in our parish. A family that had 2 kids — boy and girl who look to be about 10 and 11 — wanted another child; and they could not conceive. So they adopted a little boy who is now about 10 mos. old. Shortly after the adoption, the mom found out that she was pregnant with a little girl who was born last week. “Irish twins”.

My dad gave me a car when I turned 16. Not new, of course, but buying five of them would have been a strain...

God bless this beautiful family and give them strength!

Just curious, wouldn't it be very unusual to conceive fraternal triplets without fertility drugs? Does anyone know?

My guess is that the two girls among the triplets are identical. When there are multiple births involving triplets, quadruplets, or more, are there ever more than two eggs that were released and fertilized? Or does that sometimes happen when fertility drugs have been taken?
