Texas Guard refuses to process same-sex benefits

The Texas National Guard refused to process requests from same-sex couples for benefits on Tuesday, citing the state constitution's ban on gay marriage, despite a Pentagon directive to do so.

Pentagon officials said Texas appeared to be the only state that planned to turn gay and lesbian couples away on Tuesday, the first working day that gays in the military may apply for benefits. The Department of Defense had announced it would recognize same-sex marriages performed in states where they are legal following the U.S. Supreme Court decision throwing out the Defense of Marriage Act. Passed by Congress in 1996, the act prohibited federal recognition of same-sex marriages and said no state could be forced to recognize such marriages that might become legal in another state.....

Exhibit A for how to revolt.

It begins with not complyin’ and cooperatin’ with every evil Eric the Red comes up with, least of all on the tax payers dime.

Most likely, they’d be happy to give you a homo exhibition.

Most likely, they’d be happy to give you a homo exhibition.

Ya see, that goes straight to the question. You can PROVE you're a girl or boy with paperwork. You can PROVE your ethnic background with paperwork. You can PROVE your marital status with paperwork.

But PROVING that you're gay? Even a homo exhibition only proves you can stick one body part into someone else's body part. Could happen only once. Is that it? POOF! You're gay - forever.

I need more proof than that.

You need “proof”...and I thought “poof” would be enough. Sigh...

The Texas Guard is under the authority of the governor unless called into active service. So there is no reason why Texas laws shouldn’t apply.

Texas State Guard is different from the Texas National Guard. The Texas Guard Guard answers only to the governor.

“The Texas State Guard is one of three components of the Texas Military Forces (TXMF), operating under the command of the Adjutant General of Texas and the Governor as Commander-in-Chief of all state military forces. The TXMF includes the Texas Army National Guard and the Texas Air National Guard.

The mission of the Texas State Guard (TXSG) is to provide mission-ready military forces to assist state and local authorities in times of state emergencies; to conduct homeland security and community service activities under the umbrella of Defense Support to Civil Authorities; and to augment the Texas Army National Guard and Texas Air National Guard as required.

Headquartered at Camp Mabry in Austin, Texas, the TXSG functions as an organized state militia under the authority of Title 32 of the U.S. Code and Chapter 431 of the Texas Government Code.”

“How do they prove they’re gay”?

That’s what makes this entire homosexual “marriage” such a joke. In the military or out of the military say you have two drinking buddies who have been married before, and have no intention of getting married again. But they would like extra bennies that go with being married. In the military that includes basic allowance for quarters and basic allowance for subsistance, at least that’s what it was called when I was in. In otherwords married people make money than single people.

Well these two drinking buddies decide to “get married”. They have an apartment together, or maybe not, but that extra money starts flowing in and they split it, laughing all the way to the bank. Now extra money to party and try to pick up women with. Yous see my point? If marriage is not a man and woman, it is nothing. Same sex “marriage” will cost the US military millions of dollars in fraud cases. And the same is true for any civilian company that gives extra benefits to marriage people. It’s lunacy.
