Bad news. This means the chances of amnesty being shoved down our throats just DOUBLED. Boner is headed for a cushy lobbying career and cannot be spooked by us.
.... So typical of the GOP ..... wait until the final nail is pounded into the coffin to take action. Do the country a favor Mr. Boner ..... step down now!
Probably because he is expecting Pelosi to be Speaker.
Kind of like Denny Hastart in that respect, trying to keep one step ahead of the sheriff.
This lowlife piece of subhuman offal pond scum excrement amoeba brained crier and whining drunken drug addled hunk of steaming burning dead undead traitorous piece if rotting flesh should step down RIGHT NOW.
I do not accept 2014 as being adequate.
I always like Boehner as a congress person, but he has proven to be just an awful Speaker of the House. He did nothing to move the ball forward. He gets credit for holding the line in a few tough negotiations, but we took on far too much political damage for too little gain. The DC consultants and House leadership played out of fear from 2011 through the 2012 elections because they were afraid of taking the flack the 1996 GOP took in the leadup to Clinton’s reelection. They really believed their strategy would unseat Obama. They passed sybolic bills and made no effort to communicate to the voters that it is the Senate slowing things down.
Well, the Obama campaign played all their cards knowing our side was weak, and rode it back for another term. We had all the momentum in 2010 and early 2011, and instead got painted as nothing but obstructionists. It was a lie. We passed plenty of bills, but Harry Reid sat on everything while the White House attacked the House. Can we please get Speaker that can articulate a message?
I seriously doubt the veracity of this “news.”
Not being reported anyplace else.
The damage will be complete by them.
How about right now?
And appoint someone who knows how to do the job- Newt Gingrich. Probably the best speaker since Ronald Reagans time.
He senses the impeachment is coming and he knows that Zero has too much on him for him to remain in leadership.
Boehner has been compromised. Somebody has something on him and he is trying to do the honorable thing as best he can. He may have even been told to stay where he is until after the mid terms.
Don’t let the screen door hit ya ...
This presents a great question in the next primary season...will you vote for the insider Cantor or an alternative articulate conservative leader. Someone needs to step up early to seek the job so we can do an either or. Cantor or Gowdy? Cantor or Jordan? etc. It would be a provocative primary season, to say the least.
The teary eyed scumbag knew he was toast anyway. Now he is free to be an even worse scumbag. Much better if he were to leave now...for ANY reason.
That means he is going to ram amnesty through before he leaves.
This hack is now going to very dangerous in the coming months.
I guess he figures he’s screwed us enough.JOHN,YOU ARE PATHETIC.
get out now
This story is garbage.
So basically Boehner doesn’t give a flying fig about the issues or what the people want. He is stepping out of the role of Speaker anyway. Probably part of the ‘deal’ he made with Dear Leader Obama
Just go, already!
The way this reads he will run in 2014, expecting to win, then step down? Now there’s a well-thot strategy. Way to waste an election Bonehead.
Boner will step down as Speaker after 2014 elections because;
(a) He knows damn well his chicken sh_t leadership will put Pelosi back in the job; or
(b) He will make it offical and switch parties.
In other words he’s going to be obummers golf and bomb boy for just one more year.
We already have more than enough proof, he just can’t handle the job.
Turn over the reins to Cruz, before close of business today.
“Thank you for your vote to fund Obamacare, Mr. Speaker. You’ll find your payoff envelope taped to the bottom of your chair, as part of our premium ‘John Roberts’ retirement package.”
c) he is tired of the grief
Primary the SOB NOW!
We can always hope he has McCain landing the aircraft.
Newt was the man, as Speaker. Matching his accomplishments, for our side, made a lot liberals crazy and lots of the RINOS have never recovered from his boot in their nether-region.
He got the Palin treatment before Palin. He never gave a damn, just stepped on their bones and forged ahead, personally and professionally.
The grudge against his historic successes is still palpable today.
Baraq reportedly ‘saddened’. He’s losing a good friend. But look at the bright side, he’s gaining a golf buddy.
“c) he is tired of the grief”
That he brought upon himself due to the fact that he lacks courage. He is by and of DC and still does not get who and what he is dealing with. He is a model prisoner of the Beltway prison, and the wardens of that prison are leftists.
Why not NOW? Should have been yesterday.....
Does this mean Cantor is the next in line?
He hasn’t been real impressive as a GOP House leader, either.
Great news! Perhaps we can get a real conservative in there.
Lindsey Graham slated to take over....
I hope not. Cantor and Bohener are two important reasons I quit the Republican Party to go GDI (Gol-DANG Independent).
Cantor is next in line according to the current hierarchy, but a move-up by the next-in-line is no guarantee. A true economic conservative might attract the backing from Tea Party members and those sympathetic to it.
In fact, the Constitution does not require that the Speaker be a member of the House. But the chance of a non-Representative being named speaker is approximately nil.
Why not, his job will be complete.
Too late for America.
He needs to leave now, the shameless whore.
If he doesn’t lose his seat first.
