Starting a widely unpopular war which will inevitably escalate and will likely involve Russia and China, not to mention all the countries that neighbor Syria, and at best, result in a regime dominated by Al-Qaeda? No problem. Here are the Senators who voted to push America into the latest middle eastern war:

Watching the very same Democrats who blasted Bush, much to the glee of the liberal media, screaming for Syrian blood is just stunning...

I disagree that it will inevitably escalate. I read Obama's reluctance as his realization that Israel wants him to engage with Syria.

He will use congressional approval as cover for the unpopular action. Then, I think that he will fall into the typical liberal military response of lobbing a missile or two as a face saving measure.

I’m sure some DUmmies (the hippie peacenik crowd, anyway), won’t be happy to see that their darling, Barbara Boxer, voted yes.

No one has considered that Syria’s Air Defense systems were supplied by Russia, and probably manned by Russians. What will happen when we start killing Russians??

Since I’m one of her “constituents”, it gave me great pleasure to rip her a$$ wide open over her vote.

I see you voted to let the petulant little tyrant have his way and bomb Syria. An action that doesn’t serve our national interests or security.

But I’m sure there’s some oil money at stake or just the fact that we’re going to be helping the sons of bitches from al qaeda and the muslim brotherhood get a hold of another country in order to surround Israel.

You know, the ones who killed our Ambassador in Libya along with 3 other heroes. The ones who are destroying the antiquities in Egypt and murdering Coptics as well as burning their churches. But we don’t give a crap about that do we?

His fragile ego was at stake and we just couldn’t have him looking like the stupid idiot that he is, could we?

I’m sick of what the beltway insiders are doing, against the will and wishes of the people you are supposed to SERVE. 90% of the American public are AGAINST any intervention in that s___hole and yet, you all are just tripping all over yourselves to throw us into another war...I thought you were against war “senator”?

Oh? I guess it’s only acceptable if a Nobel Peace Prize “winner” starts it?

Arrogance unmatched.

Nothing. Russian pilots fought in Vietnam. Russians was involved in Six Day War and Yom Kippur War. But this is going to be a major problem for US Air Force. Russians posted in Syria are highly trained.

Durbin is actually listed as "undecided" (which means "yes", but he's waiting for his DNC talking points so he can explain how this is "different" from Iraq), and RINO Mark Kirk is a gung-ho "yes"
