Academy Award-winning actor Robert De Niro is the kind of Hollywood sycophant Democrats adore.

In an interview published in September's Du Jour, De Niro said of Barack Obama, "He's a good person, period...he represents, I think, the best of the type of people that I would like to see running the government."

I guess that makes him a bad judge of character.

So then we must conclude that DeNiro is completely deceived (this comes as a great shock!) and has nothing meaningful to contribute.

Gosh, I am so disillusioned.

Yes, always. I wouldn’t exactly call it stupid - he was born and raised in Greenwich Village to bohemian artist parents, and he never learned to think outside his programming. He’s like a fourteen year old.

Hey, DeNiro.

Obama doesn’t write his lines either; he just reads ‘em too.

And he’s about as bright as you (though he had the Affirmative Action bump)

I don’t expect, or care, to hear the political views of plumbers or house painters when I pay them for a service any more than I care to hear the political views of entertainers who want me to pay to see them in a movie or to listen to their music.

We all know entertainers may hold political, cultural or social views different than ours but as long as they keep it seperate from their work I can accept it.

But when they put it right out front it becomes a distraction.

Once an entertainer crosses that line I just cannot enjoy their work anymore.

This is what I would expect from someone that pretends to be
someone he is not. Kinda like Obama.
Says words that someone writes for him. Kinda like Obama.
Does exactly what someone tells him. Kinda like Obama
Wears makeup to make him look like something he is not. Kinda like Obama.

Yep. this just what I would expect from an actor.

When I think of DeNiro, I think of that stone cold Sam Rothstein in Casino. The guy with the steely cold stare and rock solid inner toughness that no one could, or would, dare try to penetrate. I always thought the real guy would be somewhat like that. I'm embarrassed to know he is such a weak man inside that he would fall for the community agitator's racist street jive.

People confuse successful actors with intelligence. There is a small number of them (Reagan, Stewart, Heston, etc.) and the rest just think their large bank account makes them smart.

Truth be told he was not acting, he was just being himself.

Robert De Niro: Obama 'Best of the Type of People I Would Like to See Running the Government'

Robert DeNiro - outstanding actor in his day (which was mid-70s to mid-90s). But even the best actors and other entertainers are only worthy of attention while they're working at their craft. Listening to anything they have to say when they're not acting or singing or rapping or whatever is about as informative as listening to the organ-grinder's monkey after the show is over.
