Is This Train Wreck Unstoppable?
Investor's Business Daily ^ | 09/04/2013 | IBD Staff

Health Reform: More bad news for Obama-Care this week: Another state announced huge rate increases, and another labor union rebelled over the harm it will do to members. Yet, this train wreck just keeps on rolling.

ObamaCare may very well be the worst law ever passed by the federal government in the history of the U.S. The public didn't want it in the first place — going so far as to elect a Republican senator in solidly Democratic Massachusetts to try to stop it — and they've hated it ever since.

The latest IBD/TIPP poll finds that just 38% want Congress to stop trying to kill it.

this advice is similar to I’m staying home in protest on election day because the candidate is not conservative enough

Truthfully, I think the only difference in outcome would be the speed with which we see Obamacare drive the economy to its knees.

Sooner rather than later may prove to be the best of two bad scenarios.
At least the suffering would be for a shorter period and the rebuilding could start sooner.

whatever loser

Romney's record in office would make any liberal Democrat blush with pride. Despite that irrefutable evidence, you still believe we would have won something by electing him.

Wake up and realize that the ruling elites rigged the last election and left us with NO choice. Deliberately.

>>>Maybe the best strategy for opponents is to stop trying to mitigate the effects of the Obamacare monstrosity and let the full impact be felt.<<<

It will only lead to single payer.

Let's stay on track, shall we? You told me that people didn't get out and vote for Romney because they were a bunch of 'purists' who wanted the perfect conservative candidate.

I'm telling you that the issue wasn't about 'perfection'. It was about gross imperfection, i.e., our candidate was a liberal with a governing record to match.

A lot of right leaning Americans examined the guy's record and concluded that he was a fraud, and that electing him over Obama wouldn't change the direction of the country.

It was Romney who lost that election, because he FAILED to trick enough decent Americans into giving him their vote. I say "trick", because the man is a Democrat In All But Label Only (DIABLO).

I didn’t like Romney but I didn’t stay at home. I have a question for you or anyone who wants to answer me. Why do a couple of states get to pick our candidate? Why can’t all the states vote on the same day? I usually don’t vote in the primary because Texas votes so late that the candidate is already chosen. That is just plain wrong! I have never heard anyone but me ask this question.

Reading the headline and I had to ask myself “Which train wreck”?

Healthcare
Quantitative easing
Syrian bombing
Race wars

Why do a couple of states get to pick our candidate?

They don't.

Because some states vote earlier, the RESULTS of those 'elections' influence later ones.

Simply make the RESULTS of ALL state's elections unknown until the last one has voted would eliminate that.

We still have the ONE DAY election that rolls across the country's time zones.

We could START with NO reporting until the polls close - just to see if it could be enforced.

Remember, we have NOT elected ANYONE until the electoral college meets and votes.

I am sorry Elsie but the early voting state winners are crowned by the media and people in other states are influenced by them, they do pick the winner. If we don’t all vote on the same day them the results should indeed be kept secret. That would take care of it. I realize that the electoral college picks the winner but the primaries narrow it down to 2 candidates. It is the way the primaries are reported that does the damage. By the time the state primaries are winding down most of the candidates have dropped out.

Sorry to say that the roof usually has to fall in before anyone realizes the roof is in desperate need of repair.
