Putin greets Obama with Syria threat
FoxNews.com ^ | 09/05/2013 | Chris Stirewalt

President Obama arrived in Russia today to find the already failing relations with his host in even worse condition. Russian President Vladimir Putin’s threat to provide his Syrian allies with a missile shield in the event of U.S. airstrikes further complicates Obama’s flagging effort to win international support for an attack on Damascus. As the Guardian reports, Putin’s warning that an attack without UN backing would provoke military aid from Russia may drive away the handful of international partners for Obama’s proposed attack.

I don’t buy that they are at odds. I believe that this is a ploy to create a crisis to let Obama get more of his socialist agenda rammed through.

In diplomatic circles this is known as “bitch-slapping”. And it would never happened with George W. Bush.

Obama’s could have had this over and done 3 days and moved on. Now he faces a probable Russian response with his dithering.

Who is who, and who is backing whom in Syria.

Here's all you need to know about Syria”:

A minority of 26% of the population is allied with Assad: Alawite Muslims (Assad's tribe), Druze Muslims, Shi'ite Muslims, Christians. This 26% minority runs Syria.

The 74% majority out-of-power are Sunni. The anti-government rebels are being encouraged and funded by Sunni states like Saudi Arabia and the Gulf nations. Obama has sided with the Saudi-backed Sunni rebels.

The Iranians, Russians, and Chinese back Assad. If Obonzo is stupid enough to attack, he might trigger a major war with Assad's allies and that's the real danger the idiots inside the DC Beltway are ignoring or downplaying to appease this lying POS (and his brain, Valerie Jarrett) in the White Hut.

IMO, it feels like we’re living in 1934 Germany with the dictator and Gestapo.

I can’t believe it but I am actually glad that Putin has the ‘Nads to stand up to this goofball, Obama and the Vietnam Veteran, John Kerry. It is a sad day when one trusts a Russian ex-KGB over the President and Secretary of State of the United States.

BTW wonder if Obama asked the Swedish Prime Minister to send troops to support the “limited strike”? Know he didn’t, but that would have been a great question to ask at the joint press conference they had.

W is mocked openly—and constantly—in Europe and Asia. I’ve traveled to both recently, and I know.

If it makes you elderly kooky types happy, they aren’t crazy about the Black Messiah, either.

I spent a little time in Ireland last month, and they’re still chuckling about him getting drunk at an international conference, and grabbing a seated Angela Merkel from behind. (She’s not very popular in the UK).

/Ireland’s a beautiful place, by the way
//And cheap
///But the people talk funny

The story did not say, maybe I missed it, did Obomber and Putin meet face to face, or will they?

That's the model Obama is using. Tighten the noose slowly using arguably legal methods until we wake up one day and he's declared himself President for life.

Most Americans voted for Obama because of his skin color.

They did not vote for his diplomatic experience or leadership skills.

Reverse racism is still racism...and Obama is proof that reverse racism is just as bad.

IMO, ObamaCare is the next Holocaust as it was designed to be. Beware of boxcars, wooden soap, and showers. Sebelius could be the first commandant of an OBayMe camp, ya think?

To understand Putin is to know that he is a relic of the Cold War, before glasnost, before perestroika,a throwback to the period that was once the height of never-ending brinkmanship between the US and then USSR. It is not quite the Cuban Missile Crisis because Russia is not nearly as powerful, virulently anti-West as it was in its heyday. Putin, ex top KGB agent, resents Gorbachev in the extreme for dismantling the empire he still longs for, and still plays by the same rules as much as possible, the game of which goes back to the pre-Gorbachev era.
