Sebelius Describes Federal Government As 'Our Federal Family' September 5, 2013 - 10:34 AM By Susan Jones

(CNSNews.com) - September is National Preparedness Month, and in a news release urging everyone to be mindful of potential terror attacks, natural disasters, and pandemics, Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius said the federal government is ready to help:

"While our federal family is becoming better prepared to support the nation, we know that being truly resilient requires the whole community coming together," she said.

"Simply put: bystanders can’t stand by. We’ve seen countless times that bystanders are truly the first responders. They save lives. Each of us must be ready to help others when every minute counts."

Sebelius said being ready means being aware of potential risks, knowing where to turn for help, and being willing to help one's neighbors:

"While taking a first aid class or a CPR class is always helpful, we may not need formal training to save someone’s life or provide them with basic care they desperately need at that moment. Sometimes, we just need to be willing to help carry someone who is hurt to safety, provide comfort to someone who is frightened, or help someone find the medical care they need."

Several other Obama administration officials have used the phrase "federal family" in recent weeks.

At his swearing-in ceremony on Aug. 29, B. Todd Jones, director of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, talked about the ATF agents who pitched in to help local law enforcement in Aurora, Newtown, Boston, and West Texas: "It's as close as you're going to get to blue-collar law enforcement in the federal family," he said.

Lady, your Greedy Obese Federal Government is not a welcome part of my Family.

You represent an aberrant mal-formed branch of of the American Family Tree that forgot it's roots and is strangling the healthy growth and vitality that allowed you to sprout.

You forgot the Constitution, Traditional Christian Family Values and Individual Liberty.

God willing...one day we will restore healthy vigorous growth to the American Family Tree. You will be welcome into that Family if you respect the Values and the Morality that nurture it.

Blessings aside, anyone who choses to lay down with dogs shouldn’t complain when they wake up with fleas. And considering any favors fedgov does for anyone must come at the expense of someone else. And that expense is taken at gunpoint.

Yup they do, Blood bro.

But frankly I don’t concern myself with the blood of tyrants; let the tyrants deal with God for themselves whatever the consequences.

The blood of the Lamb is what made the difference. We are instantly forgiven. No moral 8-balls to live down. Just engage the battle against evil from a fresh start.

Big news here: Satan tells whopping lies! Wow, let’s put that on our newspaper headlines.

Bigger news here: Satan is a pip squeak before the Lord. Go back to the right place for your courage and watch that pip squeak get trimmed back to size so fast you will wonder why you didn’t go back sooner.

Our "Federal Family" is printing tons of soon-to-be worthless dollars as a temporary "fix."

Adolf Hitler did the same thing in the 1930s.

That "fix," virtualy always, leads to WAR.

Wake up, America.

This imagery has been used before, usually in propaganda to make dictators look like benevolent figures, and totalitarian governments look like altruistic instruments of the people. One common thread is that these characterizations are never true.

Well, if the fleas are not taken for the lesson God wants them to be, we’ve kept a stiff upper lip in vain.

As far as God is concerned, glorify Him right where you are with what you got, no matter how it got to you. Yes even if that was a “government” favor. Because this is how God really galls Satan. Every single time. God grabs what Satan owned and blesses it to His use. Really it sucks to be the devil. It sucks big time.

Kathleen Sebelius: "While our federal family is becoming better prepared to support the nation, we know that being truly resilient requires the whole community coming together," she said.

As in..."Our client constituents will bring their 'needs," and you bring the money to address those 'needs."

Honestly, lady...I have plenty of financial deadbeats in my natural family as it is. I don't need to be adopted by all the HolderFolk out there just so they can lay claim to what little money I've managed to save.

Actually, it is like a mafia family. I’ve tried to warn people here about being careful about who they let do favors for them. Take favors from the mob and you get the trouble you ask for. Same thing goes with letting fedgov do favors for you. Don’t take the benefits if you don’t want strings to get attached later.

"Someday - and that day may never come - I'll call upon you to do a service for me. But until that day, accept this justice as gift on my daughter's wedding day." -Don Corleone

Actually, isn't the individual mandate an offer we can't refuse?

It is best removed surgically, along with its other ganglions
who spend their time infecting the entire system.

Yup, more or less, without quibbling over terminology (a ganglion is a branch of a nerve). But mere human effort and cleverness won’t do it. Never could and never will.

Call in the Great Physician. At once. Cheer Him on. Give Him credit for all He can do. Your head will spin at what will begin to happen if you do. You will be tempted to brag on yourselves... don’t. Stay humble. Remember it’s not you who will be dealing with the trouble.

ever notice that this Fedbeast is presenting itself more and more as what the CHURCH is supposed to be?

There is no doubt that it IS a pagan religion, but this one has the state's absolute authority.

As far as God is concerned

I'd say the message in most situations is ...

"Brother, you asked for it."

Call in the Great Physician. At once.

Great point! And, He obviously will not be beholding to the tenets of Obamacare.

He has His own tenets.

Several other Obama administration officials have used the phrase "federal family" in recent weeks.

It is the idea of George Lakoff for libtards to reject facts and substitute metaphorical reasoning for common sense reasoning and logical reasoning.

The outline of the steps of the process goes like this:

1) first develop models of the family based on family based moral systems
2) then create the metaphor of the nation as a family where the government is a nurturing, caring parent with lots of empathy
3) then create frames that support the libtard narrative by picking words and phrases to produce a form of discourse and mode of reasoning that support libtard political stands.

The same process can be used to create negative metaphors and negative frames and narratives for the conservative world view. For example, the conservative view of the nation as a family contains the metaphor of the government as a strict parent who is cruel and uncaring.
