Its 9:15 on Tuesday night and Capitol Hill is quiet as Senator Rand Paul emerges from Fox Newss studio near Union Station. His face is slightly smeared with powder from his appearance minutes earlier on Hannity, and Sergio Gor, a political aide, is trailing him. Paul walks quickly to the street, heading toward his nearby apartment. Its been a long day for him, starting with a flight from Kentucky and followed by a packed afternoon at the Foreign Relations Committee. Hes eager to get to his place, rest up, and get ready for a busy week of debate.
But then Paul spots a group of his Senate staffers in the shadows, relaxing in the outdoor lounge at Johnnys Half Shell, a seafood restaurant housed on the first floor of Fox Newss building. They signal him to come over. Paul glances at Gor, smiles, and hops smoothly over the small fence. The bartender looks on disapprovingly. His advisers chuckle; theyre impressed with their bosss athleticism, and one raises a glass to toast him.
For the next 30 minutes, Paul sits with them, nursing a beer and sharing the latest stories about his opposition to military action in Syria. At first, theres talk of his testy exchange with Secretary of State John Kerry at a hearing, then whispered updates about Republicans growing unease. Paul never says it explicitly, but its clear from his upbeat manner how much he relishes this fight.

At least SOMEONE relishes the fight! Too many republicans just don’t have the stomach for it. They love all the perks and the prestige but don’t want to put in the work. It’s much easier to go along so they can stay awhile and maybe get a painting someday.
Rand Paul may very well be the MAN. He is truly fighting for Americans who care.
Rand is pulling Skeeter’s tail big time! Since he hates us let’s let him know how much we hate him!
Uhhh...they all get official portraits made. Some of them are actually quite nice.
If we get actively involved in Syria, it will be "Obama's War"
Using the phrase "Rand Paul's War" is totally upside down and abhorrent. Not "cute"
This is why Romney always bothered me and never deserve to be president. For years he would lie in the shadow, when big things are happening and leadership was required.
Of all those wannabes gop presidential nominees, where are they? They need to come out and make a stand now!
I think you’re taking it out of context yes the tagline is a bit “cute” but the war Mr. Costa is referring to is Mr. Paul’s war against the establishment in general, and in this fight ~against~ Syrian war specifically!?
Or play online poker, you know cause it was an awfully long 3+ hour meeting over SYRIA!!!!
