Obama does not need loop holes....he makes his own whenever needed...laws or rules of any kind do not pertain to this man when they get in his way...Obama has broken all sorts of Constitutional law.....he should have been removed from office some time ago.

This is such a disaster. Either there is a vote to do it or not. The Congress and Senate have NO business dictating details to the military. Horrible, horrible, horrible. The congress gives permission and the CIC and military choose the how, when and where.

He doesn’t even need Congressional approval for a conflict of less than 45 days. But what IS becoming clear is that Assad is getting plenty of time to move key assets out of harms way and make a bombing campaign as ineffective as the one against Serbia.

Once congress gives approval for missiles– the congress can’t tell the president “how” to wage war. The President will be free to put boots on the ground no matter what. The American people need to know that.

Absolutely!

I am amazed that I am agreeing with Alan Grayson. He made some good points about Syria on CNN. He has started a website to collect signatures against attacking Syria.

Why do we even pay lip service to this charade?

The elites in both parties will do whatever the hell they want to do.

THEY are not confined by laws or legislation, THEY are not compelled to adhere to court rulings.

WE are the ones that must comply or face financial ruin, jailtime, property confiscation.

WE are Subjects.

No one with a modicum of sense actually expects honesty, sincerity and truthfulness from anything the senate or congress does.

Subterfuge, double dealing, oily weasle words and blatant lies are their stock in trade.

The greatest part of their efforts are spent in trying to cover up the true content of the underhanded, self serving bills they pass.

This isn't about Hussein doing things correctly, this is about cover for his sorry ass so later (when the big fire-crackers are going off around the globe) he can resort to petulance and proclaim he wasn't alone in the decision making, he had bi-partisan support.

f'em all.

Congress does not have the Constitutional right to dictate how the war will be conducted. No resolution is binding on the

commander in Chief as to how the war will be conducted.

The war is authorized or not authorized. That is the extent of congressional power. All the bickering and debate is meaningless
