Wednesday, John Kerry told the Senate not to worry about the cost of an American war on Syria.
The Saudis and Gulf Arabs, cash-fat on the $110-a-barrel oil they sell U.S. consumers, will pick up the tab for the Tomahawk missiles.
Has it come to this U.S. soldiers, sailors, Marines and airmen as the mercenaries of sheikhs, sultans and emirs, Hessians of the New World Order, hired out to do the big-time killing for Saudi and Sunni royals?
Yesterday, too, came a stunning report in the Washington Post.
The Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations has joined the Israeli lobby AIPAC in an all-out public campaign for a U.S. war on Syria
Marvin Hier of the Simon Wiesenthal Center and Abe Foxman of the Anti-Defamation League have invoked the Holocaust, with Hier charging the U.S. and Britain failed to rescue the Jews in 1942.
Yet, if memory serves, in 42 the Brits were battling Rommel in the desert and the Americans were still collecting their dead at Pearl Harbor and dying on Bataan and Corregidor.
The Republican Jewish Coalition, too, bankrolled by Sheldon Adelson, the Macau casino mogul whose solicitude for the suffering children of Syria is the stuff of legend, is also backing Obamas war.
Adelson, who shelled out $70 million to bring down Barack, wants his pay-off war on Syria. And he is getting it. Speaker John Boehner and Majority Leader Eric Cantor have saluted and enlisted. Sheldon, fattest of all fat cats, is buying himself a war....

If Kerry really thinks the Saudis will pony up — he better get their money up front.
Why don’t they buy their own tomahawks?
i noticed he didn’t bow to Putin tonight
"In Saudi, if it's not getting done by foreigners, it's not getting done."
How would Israel profit by having their neighbor taken over by AL QAEDA...?
There are a trillion reasons for us to steer clear of this war.
Would some Jewish Conservatives please tell me about how this benefits either the USA or Israel..?
Please.
the Saudis and Gulf Arabs never do menial dirty work
This time they are hiring our military to remove Assad and replace him with an “opposition leader” from a sunni Saudi tribe
and obama and Kerry are in a HUGE rush to get started
wassup with that?
Saudi Royal Family:
“We must get rid of Assad. He is holding up our pipeline!”
“Hire the mercenary Americans. Use the gas, they will tear up and strike.”
“Obama is a putz! He will do our bidding!”
Newt’s sugar daddy IIRC.
If this goes down then Saudi replaces Iran as chief influence in Syria
I think Israel may be calculating they can do business with the Saudi’s controlling Syria instead of Iran- Hezbollah and Hamas and Iranian Rev Guard- buh bye
It’s business you know. Syria doesn’t have any oil but it does have ports on the med and here we go with rumored plans for a pipeline from the Gulf across Iraq AND Syria
Maybe Saudi plans to lure Palestinians looking for land to move into Syria once the alawites are cleaned out- Israel should be OK with that
Then there is that big gas field Israel has off its coast- stranger business partnerships have formed than Saudi/Gulf money and Israel
Question is where Russia chooses to triangulate into this dynamic
I think Assad (and Iran) are on the losing end of history here so Putin may need to figure out how to cut bait but not lose operating base in Syria, and Iran relationship
Could this be because the Saudis and Russians want to run a pipeline through Syria and Assad has been resisting?
It is odd the people who are supporting this, Joe Lieberman, Adleston. I don’t think we are going to go with authorization from Congress, I think the House is going to wise up.
Hugh Hewitt having both sides on about this, had guests that were for this action.
Pretty sure Medved is AGAINST this, I guess we are hearing some Front Page Mag folk are for this. Disappointing. I thought I heard all along that Israel would rather see Assad in power.
On the surface, this sure appears to be a badly conceived move. If this is to open action against the real sponsorer of troubles there, Iran, I might think about it a little more but nothing indicates that is what the attack is about. We shouldn’t try to swing this war between Sunnis or Shiites or whatever the faiths are involved there. We will be hated for a millenia by one side.
I've heard that the Russians emphatically do not want a natural gas pipeline run through Syria. They would rather sell their overpriced gas to Europe than have cheaper middle east gas get there.
It gets murkier all the time!
Israel will have no problem handing them their rear-ends.
That is what I have been hearing of also.
