VOTERS EXPLODE ON JOHN MCCAIN AT PHOENIX TOWN HALL...
The Blaze ^ | Sep. 5, 2013 | Jason Howerton

A number of Sen. John McCain’s constituents are not happy with the Arizona Republican’s support of President Barack Obama’s plan to take military action against Syria. Voters made that much perfectly clear when they confronted him at a town hall in Phoenix on Thursday.

“We didn’t send you to make war for us. We sent you to stop the war,” one man said to applause, CNN reports.

Another man told McCain Congress is ignoring its duty to represent voters.

Call me naive, but how do a**holes like this keep getting re-elected?

Two factors:

As a former Arizona resident (25 years in various places around the state), I will note that the decline in AZ's political culture began with a massive influx of Californians, starting in the 1970's but exploding in the 1990's. As property values went through the roof on the west coast, many Californians sold their houses and moved to AZ to "trade-up." They brought their left-wing politics with them. When I go back to AZ to visit, I barely recognize the place any more.

Second, McCain originally ran for office as a Barry Goldwater Republican -- strong on national defense issues and (more or less) libertarian on social issues. He fell in love with Washington and the Beltway culture (especially media types) and "went native." He actually started to believe his own press. Gradual process that intensified over the years.

There will be another chance to confront McCain:

McCain also is holding a town hall Friday in Prescott.

He’s all meek like a bunny in front of his constituents back home, humble even. Full of nice words like “thank you for your emotionally compelling point....but....”

Yeah, all nice and considerate. The minute he steps out of that meeting and onto a plane to DC, the angry vitriolic madness returns and he is again the hateful and insane Senator McCain. He could give a rat’s ass what his constituents want or don’t want. Just like Senator Barbara Boxer who is going against her constituents...why?

Because the need to prop up and protect (even just to ‘save face’) an affirmative action, half-breed Muslim who hates traditional America. They crave their power so much, they are willing to prostrate themselves before him under any circumstance.

If the Vets in his state knew he was behind the gutting of their Tricare benefits he’d not make the next election. So much for the man who said he was pro Military.

He is getting SENILE and should RETIRE LIKE TODAY! And then Gov Brewer can put a real conservative in his place.

May his days be long, but his days in office SHORT!
