You would be hard pressed to find someone who detests this president’s and DNC policies more than I but as an AMERICAN (no hyphens or special group) we MUST have a vote and if Obama loses that vote I don’t see why it should have anymore significance and the British Parliament vote.
You present your case and if the people’s representatives decide against you (and it looks like a bipartisan no vote) you just move on. After 5 years of giving the boy president everything he stamped his little feet for it is time for our reps to actually represent US and vote not take the coward’s way out and refuse to vote.

As far as I’m concerned a non vote is tacit approval for The One to go ahead.
Obama is going to get the Senate and he will bomb mere hours later. It’s a done deal.

This is also a vote of no confidence in Boner, who voiced support for it, along with Cantor and the other House GOPe leadership.
Can’t tell the difference between Boehner and Pelosi anymore.
The ONLY reason they would not vote is to give the President political cover when he decides to go ahead anyway, despite knowing there is zero popular support for it.
GOP has a serious problem in not only being unable to purge the snakes in its midst, but actually putting them in all the top leadership positions. Boehner, Cantor, McCain, Priebus, etc. totally useless to any Republican who wants to see effective opposition to this President.

They will simply just not vote at all....

Elections are coming up. They don’t want to be tied to a vote.

I think boner should have refused to vote to begin with. He should have said “If he believes he has the authority to act without congress’ approval, let him do it. Then congress will discuss his actions.”
If they do not vote the Congress is as culpable of treason as Obama will be in helping al Qaeda when he strikes.
Given that almost the entire rest of the world and about 99% of U.S. voters oppose the insanity of the U.S. violently injecting itself in a civil war between two Muslim factions in a country in which neither the U.S. nor the rest of the world has much strategic interest, going to Congress was simply a ploy for Obama to try to save face, since Obama knew Congress would never approve this. Now Obama can say: “Not my fault. I WANTED to bomb Syria, but Congress won’t let me. It’s THEIR fault. I’m blameless. As usual. Because I’m perfect and never make mistakes. Ever.”
IN all actuality this could be a good thing in light of Putin’s comments/threats.
If the House votes NO, Obama gets to hide behind that vote and say “Well I stood up to Russia and would have gone ahead with the attack but the Congress is too scared and won’t let me”.
By not voting it puts the ball directly in Obama’s hands and makes him be the one to pull the plug and back down in front of the world.
