Sep 5' 2013 = Pope Francis has urged leaders of the Group of 20 nations to abandon the "futile pursuit" of a military solution in Syria and work instead for dialogue and negotiation to end the conflict.
In a letter to the G20 host, Russian president Vladimir Putin, Francis lamented that "one-sided interests" had prevailed in Syria, preventing a peaceful solution and allowing the continued "senseless massacre" of innocents.

Any strike, no matter how limited would be a waste of material and money because Assad has had plenty of time to hide his weapons and construct decoys. This will be even less effective than Clinton’s strike on Serbia.

The most succinct description of why the US should not be lobbing missiles into Syria - that action would be futile.
What treaty is being fulfilled in this action? Does the Saudi royal family have THAT much invested in the outcome in Syria?
The objections raised by the use of poison gas, and its implications, are specious at best and a downright cynical exercise of discriminatory thinking at its worst. The Current Regime says it has “irrefutable proof” that the Assad government forces were the perpetrators of the use of poison gas, and that civilians were the major target.
So cuffing what? 100,000 other deaths, and MILLIONS of refugees, were not enough to stir the Current Regime, so why now, and why for this relatively insignificant action?
