The dirty-laundry press tour of Shellie Zimmerman continued apace today with yet another interview following the announcement that she's filing for divorce from the acquitted Trayvon Martin killer. "I have a selfish husband," Shellie told Good Morning America, taking the opportunity to really pile it on. "And I think George is all about George." The not-guilty verdict, she said, has him feeling "invincible" and "making some reckless decisions," like speeding and gun shopping. She's seeking custody of the couple's two dogs.
"I stood by my husband through everything and I kind of feel like he left me with a bunch of broken glass that I'm supposed to now assemble and make a life," she said. "I have been married to a person for about seven years and I don't think I ever really knew him at all."
George has yet to comment, but brother Robert tweeted, "Pray 4 them."

Speeding and gun shopping is “reckless”?? I went gun shopping today and I speeded to get there and then speeded home afterwards.
I’m sure the strain of the incarceration and the trial, and all of the publicity hounds must have been tremendous. I feel sorry for them, but wish they could work it out.
I take it she’d have been happier if Trayvon had killed George, or if George had been convicted.

My ex-wife doesn’t have a lot of good things to say about me, either. It’s the nature of the beast. Her gripes didn’t get the attention of the international press and Hollywood, though, for obvious reasons. Why is he not in Peru?

Why would he be in prison? He’s a Peruvian national through his mother. Or are you saying he’d go on a shooting spree there or something?
I sense a “tell-all” book in Shellie’s future.
Unfortunately, the media will delight in every word and keep heaping hate on Zimmerman til he dies. Maybe at some point she’ll realize she’s being used and these people don’t care about her.
Who knows why, but would you want to risk it? Has he ever been in Peru? Do you want to leave your home country and move to Peru?
Shellie seems like that juror who voted not guilty but then couldn’t take the social pressure and went on TV to say how she really thought George was guilty but the law made her acquit him. Shellie just doesn’t have the fortitude to stand against the herd.
The media will embrace her (for a time) like they did the guy who married Bristol Palin.
If you are referring to Levi Johnston, they never married.
She needs counseling, as does her husband. They have both been through a very trying time with a highly uncertain future. They need help. She is crying for help, not a divorce!
