God: “Crazy Men” Needed in Tennessee
FACT Report ^ | September 6, 2013 | David Fowler

Posted on 09/07/2013 7:04:28 AM PDT by James R. Aist

...rather than retract and recognize only lawfully entered into natural marriages (male-female), the council decided to recognize any two people in a loving and “committed” relationship. Having decided they would recognize relationships based on love and commitment rather than marriage, I don’t know upon what moral principle they limited their approval to only two people.

Remember: the politicians work for YOU. If Tennesseans don’t want this legislation, it is up to them to let their “representatives” know. And it is up to them to de-elect those representatives who ignore the will of the people and pass laws that defy it.

Get the gov. out of marriages and let the churches decide.

The problem would go away.

Gosh, and we thought the dueling guitar, inbreeders in GA were cause for alarm and ridicule.

Who are we to criticize any immoral sexual perversion, nope, not here, say mainline Christian churches who used to teach morality and ethics.

Rails and tar and feathers come to mind ... de-electing is not an option with some of these vermin. The leftist slugs have so infected sec tions of America that only a like slug will be elected from such low-life people. We have two large metro areas in Tennessee which are so dead of soul now that only dead soul low-lifes are elected from out of such slugnests.

People will have to be willing to give up the taxpayer-funded bribes they receive in exchange for giving the government more control over their lives.

There's a problem doing that.

On a very tiny scale, this short video shows what were are up agianst in the Colorado recall, which is going on right now: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fZTTxqi2Rjk

Are you saying that the government should recognize any marriage which any church decides is a marriage? Then anyone could found a new church and solemnize even the most outlandish marriages.

Or are you saying that the government should not recognize any marriage? Seeing as how the concept of marriage is woven into the fabric of so many legitimate laws, that would require a major revision of much of our legislation.

Regards,

Next it will be illegal for a preacher to talk about straight marriage. That insults the gays in the audience. Never mind that talking about gay marriage insults the straight people.

Or maybe just get the federal government out of the marriage recognition business, too since it has no constitutional authority to grant any favor or benefit in the institution.

YES, but America is way past that point and not quite so easy!! This is undoubtedly out of date given that we are in 2013. Can you imagine what recent statutes have added???? Let your mind wander a bit, given the gay mafia's latest emoldenment.

GAO Report to The Honorable Henry J. Hyde, Chairman, Committee on the Judiciary, dated January 31, 1997

The result is a collection of 1049 federal laws classified to the United States Code in which marital status is a factor.

Sodomite partnerships, even those which are long-term and deemed “committed”, are rarely monogamous. They are very promiscuous.

You think I’m joking but I’m not. I remember reading several years ago about a guy who tried to marry his car.

I thought it was so crazy I never forgot it.

Here’s the article.

Man wants to marry his car, clerks say no
Posted: Saturday, March 06, 1999
http://amarillo.com/stories/030699/usn_mancar.shtml

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. - Many men have had love affairs with their cars. Buster Mitchell wanted to make it official.

Jilted by his girlfriend, a bereft Mitchell decided he wanted to marry his true love - his 1996 Mustang GT.

“I’ve been broken hearted and hung out to dry, so I am going to the courthouse and try to marry my car,” Mitchell said before attempting to get a marriage license Thursday.

Mitchell, 28, didn’t get very far in the application before the clerk dashed his dreams. Only men and women can marry under Tennessee law, officials explained.

It was sometime after he listed his fiance’s birthplace as “Detroit,” her father as “Henry Ford” and her blood type as “10-W-40” that his plans sputtered.

“Well, in California they are doing same-sex marriages,” he said. “So we are here in Tennessee. Why can’t we do the good ol’ boy thing and marry our cars and trucks?”

Mitchell said he isn’t giving up. He plans to try at a couple of wedding chapels in the Great Smoky Mountains.

“If this law is passed, ANY two people can be legally married in Tennessee!”

Such a bigoted law!

Why not allow marriage between a man and his dog?

Actually, from some of the people featured in People of Walmart, the only question would be “Two legs or four on that dog?’

Don’t forget “A man and his truck - it’s a beautiful thing.”
And, look at the comparative costs of a divorce in such a marriage v. a male/female divorce - get a check from the junk yard or a whopping bill from the divorce lawyer.

;-)
