Dangerous Times: Are Obama's Syrian Stumbles Good for America?
AmericanThinker.com ^ | 9/7/2013 | James Lewis

Obama is the second fervently anti-American president we have seen. That was hard to accept for a long time, but after the overthrow of our longtime ally Mubarak in Egypt, after Obama's active support for the Islamofascist Muslim Brotherhood, after the Benghazi arms-smuggling operation to Al Qaida-allied rebels in Syria, and now, after Obama's selective outrage against Syrian poison gas attacks in a civil war where 130,000 Syrians have died -- after all those facts I don't think Obama is running a pro-American policy any more.

After all, Obama is running the "apologize for white folks" administration. It's the "American guilt" administration. It's the "bow to tyrants" administration. All that stuff looked like a farce when it happened. But it turns out to be the real Obama.

While we were scratching our heads about his oddball president, his tiny inner circle -- Obama, Jarrett, Michele, Axelrod -- were going Go 'Bama! Bow down to another murderous tyrant, please!

If that seems perverse, it was. This is the most perverse administration in American history.

By now it's impossible to avoid the conclusion that Obama is fervently anti-American. Which is what you might learn from his personal history, all the way from Mom the Stalinist, to his "mentor" Frank Davis the child pornographer, all the way to the "Reverend" Jerry Wright and the Alinsky Machine in Chicago.

“Nothing that this dictator does is good for America. And I don’t think he gives a damn about the fates of his so-called wife and kids either. Thus is he truly dangerous.”

I think it is great that while the Dem media can pretend Americans still love him, they can’t stop the European media from showing the widespread contempt many of them feel for him (after they were supposedly gushing over him a few years ago). Europe’s media is much more honest than our own.

We've got the biggest economy and military in the world. These are dangerous times, but not for us. John Derbyshire on why both GOP and Democratic pols are raring to bomb Syria:

Why does the administration want to bomb Syria anyway? Journalist Daniel Greenfield voiced a common opinion, quote:

The message from the attacks won't be that America takes human rights atrocities seriously. Sudan, Rwanda and countless other genocides make a mockery of that. The message will be that the Saudis can still call in the United States Air Force and Navy to clear the way for their regional objectives.

If you substitute "the Israelis" for "the Saudis" in that, you have another popular explanation going round.

I wish I could be that cynical! In my opinion, these sheltered, narcissistic moralizers in our government actually do believe the flapdoodle about "human rights" and the "international community," at least when it relates to something they've seen on TV and are therefore emotionally engaged with.

These are children of the Civil Rights era, remember, taught from childhood that good people must go out and confront evil. They believe that's what they should do, even when evil is minding its own business in some obscure foreign nation of no concern to U.S. interests. And let's face it: This belief of theirs appeals to something old and deep in the collective psyche of the U.S.A. — the City on the Hill, the Hope of the World, the Arsenal of Democracy, ready to bear any burden, pay any price …

Meanwhile, chess grandmasters with cold eyes are sitting watching in Moscow, Tehran, Riyadh, Jerusalem, Peking.

This is the plan of two Muslim Brotherhood believers: Valerie Jarrett and Barack Obama, and two atheists: Bill Ayers and George Soros.

Well said, especially the third paragraph.

One can hope there are sane people in Congress and the Pentagon who are keeping a very close eye on Obama. Since Obama is the highest national security risk we've ever encountered, I hope the NSA is monitoring his every word and communication so when the time is right, the US Marshals show up. People in Washington D.C. are at a point where they have to choose sides - America or the Obama agenda.

One can also hope the nation will get on board with Article V and the Liberty Amendments and begin the process of restoring our Sacred Republic. We have a lot of work to do. .

We have 3 1/2 years left with this guy. It’s going to feel like 10 years.

I think his problem is to find an inflection point which the public will accept and which advances a cause which the public, if aware of its real purpose, would oppose bitterly.

Reparations by another name might be such an inflection point.

That's exactly what I've been seeing - the Regime has been fishing around for an adequate cover story that would have traction and have been coming up snake eyes. So far.

I disagree. THe man is a coward. He will attack no one. He will not defend our interests. He is a coward. He will sit back and watch us beaten.

He has no military sense. He is a coward. He has been smacked down by Putin, who will now be even more brazen withtime until our next president stands up to him.

I think this is Jimmy Carter presidency all over again.

The man is a coward.

Nice article and I agree. But where were the “great thinkers” five years ago BEFORE he was elected the first time?

Seriously.

We not-so-great non-thinkers already knew enough about Barry even then to suspect he is STRONGLY anti-American and an anti-white racist, lily-white mother notwithstanding, or lying naked on an ottoman.

I’ve experienced two anti-America presidents in my life and I am so sick of it! First Carter and now Obama.

Syrian Assets Seized

In sweet home Chicago, the gangster Community Organizers use Crown Vics, in Libya and Syria they use Nimitz class aircraft carrier groups

No. This clown is dragging us down on the world stage which is unforgiving.

It is Carter times two.

The next President is going to have a real mess on his hands. Hopefully they will be the kind who wants to clean it up rather then add to it.

If we act now or we are forced to act later, the reasons will be the same.

Iran and Russia are setting the West up via their power plays in the Middle East.

Whatever the outcome of the current Syrian crisis, we will have to go to war with Iran over her nukes, eventually. The Iranians are the kingpin here and they have been building their forces for an all out war with the US, Israel and the West since 1979. If we avoid confrontation now, we will be that much weaker the next time or the time after that.

We can keep our heads in the sand but they will kick our rear ends at some point UNLESS, we open our eyes and see it for what it is. It doesn't help that we're war weary and in the midst of military cutbacks.

If we avoid them now, they will come looking for us as they did on 9/11, it's just a matter of time.

Iran is the country we should be going after, not fighting the arms of the Hydra in Syria. We should've bombed Iran into a pile of rubble 30 years ago. By putting it off, we've allowed a little pipsqueak nation of goat humpers to become a real threat. Of course, that's what we do with all our problems.

Scouts Out! Cavalry Ho!

In a perverse way, yes. Scales are falling from more than just white eyes.

Will Democrats Forgive Obama for Blowing His Second Term?
